Re: Mining/industrial towns, Fort Mcmurray??

Hi there, given that you have an 11 year old I would avoid For McMurray like the plague. Our neighbours with a 15 year old daughter and 11 year old son moved away from there because it was very rowdy...

Re: Recommended migration agent

We initially had one of those one-off consultations with an agent from Four Corners, this was back in 2006. He told us that yes we did have enough points, and gave me a contract to sign. Being a...

Re: Language Proficiency - Native English Speaker

We didn't do any of that, just ticked the boxes where you indicate what your language is and off it went. No problems at all, even given the fact that I am a native german who has naturalised to...

Re: PNP from Skilled worker

We changed from SW to PNP (Alberta), it was just a quicker route in the end for us. What we did was to inform London, when sending in the new PNP application, that we wished to closed our SW...

Re: Dilemma

Hi Nik M,

Your age should really be of no concern, my OH was 40 when we arrived here a few months ago and it has not hindered him in getting a job. It mostly depends on your trade and where in...

Re: Mechanics Tools

Best thing is to ship them with your container, it's quicker in the end. My OH found that his co-workers were quite happy to let him use their tools until he had all of his (plus he bought some more...

Re: hotels in okotoks??

I agree, the best option for a reccie trip is to either rent someone's basement suite, apartment or house. It will give you and your family a really good idea what life in Okotoks is like. There are...
