Default PNP from Skilled worker

Hi All.

I am curious, As anyone swapped over from the skilled worker route to the PNP route, and if so do I need to send another cheque/payment for my initial application fee again when i send forms to CIC in London, or will they just transfer the cheque I sent for the skilled worker route over to the PNP route?

Any answers welcome, if anyone knows

I am doing this as we speak. You have to cancel your SW application. They will then return your fees to you. You have to send a new cheque for your PNP application.

We have to send our new PNP applications to Buffalo rather than London.

Hi Amy

Thanks for that. Now I am worried, if Halifax accept me on the PNP, which i am still waiting to hear about and I then send my second lot of forms and copy of nomination certificate to London - got that part okay, but do they then ask if i want to cancel my SW Application? What if i say yes and cancel this and the immigration office in London says no to my PNP application? - then i am on no route whatsoever - help so confused...

Okay. Breath..lol.

If London refuse your PNP application, then they would have refused your SW application as well.

The London part is only the same as it would be on SW - the PNP bit is approved by NSPNP and then London (or whoever) CIC go through your forms the same as they would was it a SW application.

So calm down!

Hi am applying via the community identified stream of the pnp and heading, hopefully, to Colchester County/Truro. I am attempting to change, because i am not sure if the skilled worker route will pan out for me or not. Not sure if i definitely have the points needed?

I have been out and spoken with Margot at Corda and she has agreed to support my application via the CI stream, so i think i will have a better chance at getting into NS with her help.

We changed from SW to PNP (Alberta), it was just a quicker route in the end for us. What we did was to inform London, when sending in the new PNP application, that we wished to closed our SW application and could they please transfer the fees paid to our new PNP application. They did this without any problem. You just have to be very clear in your letter you send with your new application and give all the correct file numbers etc. Good luck!

hi Simone

This helps. When/If PNP office accepts me, i will send covering letter with London forms asking them to transfer funds across, if they accept me too!
