Hello

We are new to the expats website and have settled in to Okotoks in the past 9 months. We are a young family with a son of 8 years old and would like to say hello you fellow British people/families. Is there anone else on the Calgary area that has been here for less than a year? How are you finding it? we are loving it here but we've had enough of the snow!

If you have Facebook accounts, you may have an interest in joining the group that is noted in our signature line below. Lots of newcomers to town are beginning to congregate there.

Thanks for all the replies it would be good to meet up with some other Expats. We are in the Cimarron area. Thanks for the mention of the coffee meeting on April 4th I will look into that. I agree with the roll on summer comment I want sunshine . Hope we can arrange to meet some of you soon please PM us and we'll arrange something.

We are also newbies to Okotoks - coming up to 5 weeks now. Like previous posts have mentioned Sam-in-Okotoks is having a coffee morning on the 4th April and several of us 'girls' have met up. We are currently in Drake Landing.

We're newly arrived in Okotoks too - 3 days ago to be exact!
We have 2 boys still at home - one of 12 1/2 and the youngest will be 11 on Wednesday!
Looking forward to the meet-up next Saturday.
