You should maybe look at living outside of Regina, we live 45 mins from the city and have just bought a 4 bed house for $235,000

We went direct to Ford and got a lease vehicle for 2 years on a 22 month TWP - pay a bit more to lease it but we can now buy the car for $4000 less than the same vehicle on the Ford forecourt.

I never mentioned disclosing this information freely or saying it was an OFFICIAL way of checking your credit, its more of an unwritten rule in this province, wasn`t looking to mis-inform anyone

We landed in March last year and have just been offered a mortgage with TD which we can take before our PR is complete with a 10% deposit or wait till we get PR and pay just a 5% deposit

I could be wrong(i`m sure someone will correct me lol) but as you`d require an LMO from an employer you would need a certain amount of experience in order to qualify. IMHO you would stand a better...

THIS is the only way to look at it - moving to Canada as a get rich quick scheme is for dreamers and usually the ones who end up back on the plane heading home prematurely, as Dusty says, life here...
