I kinda presumed the frozen part after reading other threads, but who know's what might change in the coming years, can you LEGALLY claim both, or do you just do it on QT, ie not informing either...

Bugger.....the only problem with having the money in the UK is transfering it back to canada...I bank with lloyds and they only allow you to transfer 10k online at one time and not internatonally...

Thanks...rang them in the end yesterday, just waiting for a reply, they said they would call MBNA UK and ask them to do a credit check there and use that as we didnt have a credit rating here,...

It may be cheaperfor you to fly to Canada:lol::rofl: and get them done! we had ours done in Vancouver $720 for a family of four irrespective of age:thumbup:

As i said last week, the CAD is now at 1.85 and climbing, the week will be an important week for GBP against the CAD, This week Sterling sees a great deal of economic data including CPI and RPI...

I'll go with that;)...just remember it can somtimes take a couple of days to set the account up as well (depending on who you use)as they require stuff like copies of passports, utility bills etc,...

I use interchangefx.co.uk they seem to offer a good rate, and the transfers were done in 24hrs at no charge, but this depends on the amount being transfered, if you transfer say 5k then there would...
