Me too, but I'm on 1.92.

I have tried a number of others, but none of them offered the features
I wanted, but did offer a different interface and few benefits.

I think it will cost David more than that to run Vista.

This assumed superiority of Mac users really doesn't make me think I'm
missing out on much.

Of course that wont stop these guys from spending £100 a year where I
spend nothing, and rubbing a PC user's nose in it at every
opportunity.

If you run MS evaluation of your system as a platform for Vista, you will see
just how little you will get for your money. I can't imagine anybody buying the
basic upgrade package, although I am sure plenty will.

It's not going to cost me anything, because I'm not going to run it, and
I don't run XP on my mac either.

I use it out of habit. Thunderbird is also excellent, and I would use
it if I hadn't hacked my old version of Agent.

I wouldn't mind paying for a better newsreader, but I haven't found
one that does just what I want, without having to learn a whole new
system.

Not a great difference between them; stay put. I tried others too, but always came back to
Agent. Guess I'm too used to it, after 10 years...

For non-binary ng's (like this one) Thunderbird & Outlook Express both do
fine. The 1st is free, the 2nd part of windows. For binary groups (dl's of
large files, like videos, etc) I use the pay program Newsleecher

I tried it when it first came out. Lasted a week. It might be better now of
