Newsreader??
I've been using Free Agent to access newsgroups for years. It's no
longer free and I've got 1 day left to use it without paying. Just wondering what applications others use to access this newsgroup, and if you pay or use freeware. Thanks!! Cheers, AB To email: replace 'REMOVE' with 'b' in email address. |

I pay for Agent now - for the service, rather than the client, but I used to use (and still prefer) 40tude Dialog. It's free. http://www.40tude.com/dialog/ I just haven't got around to going back to it. -- Tim C. |

I don't know which country you are posting from but my broadband company here, Comcast, provides a newsgroup server, [email protected] , and I access it with the FidoLook modification of Outlook Express. Comcast is expensive enough without having to pay extra for a ng server. James Silverton Potomac, Maryland E-mail, with obvious alterations: not.jim.silverton.at.comcast.not |

(or they didn't last time I looked which was, admittedly a looong time ago) The Agent's server fee isn't extortionate though. -- Tim C. |

I bought Agent, simply because there are a few more useful sorting options than on Free Agent. All for a one-off fee. Haven't updated to the latest version. Why do you? because I liked the free version and so paid up. Its not much. Nobody pay, no software. I'm happy to pay if the price doesn't get silly, which it does for some software. -- Mike Reid UK walking, food, photos "http://www.fellwalk.co.uk" <-- you can email us@ this site Spain walking, food, tourism "http://www.fell-walker.co.uk" Beginners UK flight sim addons "http://www.lawn-mower-man.co.uk" |
