Did your solicitor not point this out at the time though?

Why did you buy a house in Spain without an official contract ?

Right, I thought with the Spanish contract it was on the border.
A Spanish firm building in Portugal with English contracts...... oh dear.

I haven't received the letter from Duja yet. I would definitely like us all to band together and try and negotiate a better deal for ourselves.

The contract also states the keys should be handed over to us by December 2006 or within 5 months thereafter, there is a responsibility on the developer to deliver on time, had he done so it would have been far easier to obtain funding, the property market was stronger and the euro not as strong against the pound. If all clients on phase two & three stick together as one voice and refuse to complete when the habitation licence is finally issued we might get some sense from this company

Carwyn,we only had a letter (via e-mail) because we wrote to the solicitors Torrero Abogados last week asking what the * was going on,giving them our e-mail address and phone number.

We are in exactly the same position re Phase 2 and would agree about acting together with one voice.

The painting of Royal Cabanas Golf Phase 2 & 3 has started. So for those interested in completing the Habitation Licence "should" be about a month away..estimated time to re-paint the blocks in the correct colour is 4 weeks

I'm just trying to get my head around this ..... was this a private contract, or was it drawn up though a solicitor
