Re: CABANAS GOLF DEVELOPERS DUJA

Regarding DUJA I too have paid a deposit (two years ago)for an apartment, but on the Beach Two development. This was meant to be completed by March this year, and I am lead to believe that DUJA will be technically in breach of contract 6 months after that date i.e Sept '08. Building has yet to commence, tho' I'm informed will do soon. Anyone else in the same situation? Return of deposits a possibility in view of the breach of contract?

If it was supposed to be finished on that date then there must be a breach, unless they can work in a time machine.
Get your solicitor into action.

Duja operate a number of different companies under the Duja umberalla. You need to identify the legal entity from your contract. Each new development tends to have a separate company with limited share capital.
I invested in one of their Spanish companies and after 2 years the development had not started. They are not proceeding with the development because they have no planning permission.
This is fine apart from the fact that they seem to think it is ok to keep my 200,000 euro deposit monies. My solicitor is now acting but you need to be very vigilent when dealing with these off-plan companies. Very very very difficult to get your money back !!!

Does anyone know whats going on with Roayal Duja Cabanas Beach 2???? Maybe Luis from Duja could give us a clue.

What are the options available to contract holders?

Can we have refunds?

Do we get twice our deposit back in September?

Can we move to a different development?

Has anyone received a letter re whats going on?

Has anyone bought the info pack from this site royaldujaripoff.com?

Has anyone started using a lawyer?

Please let me have your thoughts as I think we need to act as a group

Look forward to hearing from anyone.

best regards,

Happy:(

I have asked the Lawyer who is dealing with DUJA " What are the options available to contract holders " and am awaiting his reply. Will post it on the forum when received.
