That about sums it up. We're DOOMED.

Pretty much done and dusted, you'll be playing the likes of QPR next season

At least we might win once or twice.

But I haven't given up hope yet; the Toon actually played quite well this afternoon (for the most part). No luck in front of goal yet again though.

I also had the honour of meeting a very personable new young barmaid at the nearest Setanta venue.

You planning on following Southampton, Charlton & Narrrrch into Division 1?

See what happens when you are too cheap to pay for Setanta:thumbsup:

I watched parts of the game......Crouch was poor but NUFC weren't great. The owner didn't look too perturbed....Gazza seemed more concerned.

Do you think Mr. Creosote will stick around if they are in the Coca Cola Championship.

They've still got a shot. Don't underestimate how bad Hull are.

Probably. But I likely will have killed myself before then.

Edit: Or at least have changed my avatar again.

As Keggy Keegall once put it, "I'd love it" if Hull went down. They started the season well and had everyone's respect then they started losing and Brown started hitting out at everyone except himself and his players. He hit rock bottom in my estimation when we knocked them out of the Cup and started throwing all sorts of wild accusations around.

Never saw the game but most comments were along the line that Shearer must have picked the team to play out of a hat.

The last time Swansea played Newcastle in the second division (use of its real name there), was when we were on the way up... so good omens for Swansea really, not so good for Newcastle but good ones for us. ;)

FT Barcelona 0-0 Chelsea

i hate to admit it but that is a sterling result for chelsea. i was looking forward to playing barca in the final this year, looks like chelsea again, got to fancy them to nip it 1-0 at home.

I disagree I still make Barca favourites, Chelsea went there to snuff them out they succeeded it will be a different game in London and Chelsea will have to leave more gaps, remember Barca only need a score draw to go through.

I always think a 0-0 home leg when the teams are quite evenly matched favours the away side second leg.

Dunno, Chelsea don't have an away goal, which may be important

That's always a worry. Generally I'd rather be the away team in the 2nd leg.

But this was a great result and Chelsea actually had the better chances. If they can achieve that with so little possession they'll be likely to create far more chances at home and Barcelona will make even more defensive errors.

It's just a case of taking enough to put Barcelona away.
