I could watch footage like this all day... got any more anyone?

Trundle was a legend in his time, here's a few showboating cliips from games in League One.

But here's Ferrie Bodde who's been injured for almost 2 years and has so far only played 15 minutes pre-season on his comeback, he could be our ace in the hole to keep us in the Premiership if he regains fitness.

But this guy is well missed

It seems that there are some changes to the tv schedule for this season. As far as I can see Setanta are only doing the Sunday games which is a bit of a rip off. Anyone got any info on this?

It looks like there is some Saturday games.

They also will be doing the cups.

Now I have to get the HD sports package to get TSN2 as they seem to be showing a lot of Saturday games. Plus we can't get Setanta HD in Vancouver. Shaw is a bunch of rip off bastards. :frown:

I'm fortunate as I seem to have done something right to get the two TSN channels with out having to pay any extra. They are not in HD but none the less with Sportsnet and Setanta I have optimum coverage.

It will be interesting to see if Spurs Uefa cup games are shown anywhere?

Well, I thought that was really nice of Joey Barton to help Gervinho back up to his feet after he was tripped over yesterday.

Great improvement in attitude and friendliness there, Mr. Barton

What are the odds of both Catermole and Barton staying on the pitch for 90 minutes next week?

Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread

That's a great point, the pair of them can play well but be such liabilities to their respective teams. A pair of or exposure hungry psychopaths, a perfect match for each other.

The match will feel like a video game; every time they get close to each other, the motion will slow down, the camera will zoom in, Barton will turn into Godzilla, Catermole into a big metallic Transformer. Godzilla will perform an off-the-ball grab-opponent-by-throat manoeuvre. Transformer Catermole will immediately perform a two-footed lunge at Godzilla's shins.

The action will continue with the opponents throwing parts of the stands at each other. Godzilla will eat fans, not caring which team they support. Later on they will throw tall buildings at each other. And afterwards they will share a bottle of dog and say "you're me bestest mate, ye are" to each other, while hugging in a non-gay fashion.

Seriously though, if the managers let them play then they're equally as guilty for any aggressive over-reactions from those players.

Just heard from the boys back home that Andy Gray has been replaced on Sky but Gary Neville.

No one is particulalry pleased.

Give me Craig Forrest over Gary Neville and Jamie Redknapp anytime.

The Toon Army thread, eh? Nice!

I'm moving from Newcastle to Toronto in October. Been able to catch a lot of our matches on previous trips (some channel seemed to show Prem games back to back after they'd finished on a Sat) but I'll definitely miss having company to watch the game.

Is there good coverage of footy in Toronto pubs, or do games kick off too early for that?

Despite being a Man U fan, I find Gary "I speak in the 3rd person" a rather annoying person...he should have quit the team 2 or 3 years before he did and his paranoia that everybody is against Man U is unbelievable.

You may find this amusing, but a warning..it also contains Rio Ferdinand.

These days there's plenty of places with good early coverage.

The three most popular bars are Scally Wags, Football Factory and Main Event. All in different parts of the city. The first two will show the 7.30 kick off's.

There are quite a few more bars that open for the 10am kick off's and offer brunches.

Nice victory for Newcastle Utd.........one or two drinks being had in the City I bet.

Also enjoyed reading this 2006 article from probably the worst football journalist of all in time in the Guardian.
