I hope they don't call our Spanish players names as they're popping the ball into their net on Saturday.

A couple for Michu would be nice

I just wanted you all to know that I shall be at White Hart Lane for the Wigan game in person tomorrow.

Look for the big "Hello Mum" sign.

Back in Blighty for the next week.

I assume the sign will have some fruit hanging out of the top?

But in anticipation of the weekend's games, Toon are away to the Scousers.

Newcastle's record at Anfield in recent years is 1-2-15.

But as a firm believer in the power of statistics, I'm convinced that this is a good thing.

Pool 1-2 Toon.

Apparently Pardew wants the referee mics to be recorded. As long as managers and players wear mics and are recorded as well that would be ok.

What's a mic? I don't think we have any Irish players at the moment on the first team.

A mic is an acoustic-to-electric transducer or sensor that converts sound into an electrical signal.

Ah yes. A microphone, commonly abbreviated as a "mike".

Top o' the morning to you.

Mic is correct as an abbreviation of the noun.

I've just looked at the table. If (by some miracle or perhaps bribery) Newcastle beat Pool tomorrow, they'd bounce all the way up to 6th.
