I see the wording above the Liverpool trophy cases is in French. I thought we were supposed to be the French team?

we will start strong, but so will they, early goals from each side, probably ARSEnal first. 1-1 half time. start of 2nd half same as first, more goals, now it gets difficult to predict. 2-2 full time, utd win on agg.

Meh. We'll see after the game.

I'm off to watch the game, mainly because it's an excuse to have a beer at lunchtime. I can't believe that I want ManUre to win. The lesser of two evils I suppose.

er, yeah, you are right there. The sight of Arsene Wenger with a dejected look on his face is a wonderful thing. How much of a handshake at the end if it finishes like this.

Mine too:( The comeback from 2 down against Spurs, Machedas injury time comeback winner against Villa...

Still, City wont lie down and are playing much better, Hull might be playing to stay in the premiership, Steve Bruce has to come good against his old gaffer eventually (or does he constantly do him favours...hard to say!) Arsenal...depends which arsenal show up.

Mainly I'm relying on fixture congestion and fatigue taking a toll... damn that huge squad!

Gloating is not nice ( note I'm not an Arsenal fan ) as I know how I would feel on the receiving end after that display.

well, not even close, the pundits agreed with me, though one of them was shaka hislop so i suppose there was my warning that i'd get it wrong, but if you are going to be wrong, what a way to do it.

2 and 3rd goals just superb, thought the 3rd one was the best. no issues with the penalty, but should not have been sent off.

anyone know anyone in Rome who could me up for a couple of days, i promise to bring copious amounts of maple syrup and a an oilers jersey for them.

Hats off to ManUSA over the 2 legs, 2-0 after 11 minutes to a mistake and a rocket and it was all over.

i feel very sorry for gibbs, not good, you could tell he was devastated, its one thing being beaten by a better player, but slipping like that, very unlucky.

as for ronaldos shot, well thats the name of the game, every team has their free kick taker.

much respect to the arsenal fans for the applause at the end by the way, jolly good spirited.

He looked completely devastated and hopefully it will make him stronger, he is only 19 and it was only his 19th game for the first team but he has shown excellent promise.

I maybe biased but I do think that we have the most magnanimous set of fans who respected the performance of a better team

Congrats to Utd. I also agree it shouldn't have been a sending-off, but apparently there is no chance of an appeal.

I think Barca will beat Chelski tomorrow.

Please don't lump in a player like Fletcher with a vindictive quitting thug like Keane. To me, Keane was a detriment to MUFC...ditto goes for Gary Neville (time for him to quit or at least give up the captaincy). Keane may have been all blood and thunder but he, to me, was not a team player......

Keane didnt need to be a team player, for a couple of seasons there he was able to carry the whole team anyway. At his peak he was a force of nature.

I feel sorry for Fletcher, he's the victim of the refereeing system that marks refs down for applying common sense as opposed to the letter of the rules. Cant blame the ref, if he doesnt send him off the ref is marked down for it and wont ref at that level again as a consequnce..more idiocy from the powers that be...promote a ref for having good judgment, and then penalise him if he dares to use it at the top level.

I was reminded once again how little I will miss Tommy Smythe next year. TOMMY, IF YOU FOUL THE GUY TO MAKE CONTACT WITH THE F'IN BALL ITS STILL A FOUL MATE!!!!

Keane is only a team player when it suits him...note his throwing his toys out of the pram when Ireland were at the WC in 2002. As you may gather, I have little respect for him as a player and was glad when he left MUFC. I feel sorry for Fletcher as well. I also think by the true letter of the law it was a red card offence...hindsight says Fletcher should have let Fabregas get the scoring opportunity but MUFC don't operate that way and in the heat of the moment it would be hard to think that way.

Tommy Smythe is one of the worst commentators ever. how Derek Rae puts up with him is hard to fathom. Am I correct in your comments that next year we will be onion bag free....is it all going to be Sportsnet and Setanta with other commentators? There is a god.

FM and MC did a great job on that song, shame he didn't make it to the '92 olympics. I am hoping that whoever goes through on this side go onto win the CL I have no preference.

I cant honestly see Chelsea stifling that amazing creative Barca forward line for another 90 minutes, but when you look at Barcas recent record playing in England its pretty woe-full., No goals in 4 matches or something?

My heart says Barca, but my head says Chelsea. But I think whoever scores first will likely go through, unless Barca throw caution to the wind and just go for it, in which case Chelsea may struggle to keep up.

Hey I take offence to that...

Speaking on that note in my office yesterday we were talking about building a ramp so we could perform chair stunts as you do.

Someone pitched in "yeah but you need a low center of gravity!!!" talk about a buzz kill.
