Mourinho has blown it wide open. I hate Chelsea but I'd rather them or City win it tbh. |

Chelsea will be kicking themselves over some of the unexpected results they've had in the the last month or two. That 2 points over 2 games is a lot. I don't think they can win the league but I do have a feeling that they may sneak the European Cup. Could see Arsenal out of the CL next year. |

City still have the Everton away fixture which could undo them.

I think Madrid might win the Champions League.

Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
Yeah.
I prefer finals where the teams are from different countries. All that being said I'm glad Chelski are out. |

Not to be rude or pedantic but that’s pretty funny really as there are actually two different teams in Madrid. Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid both of whom are playing in the Champions League final this year. It’s like in Manchester, people always think of Manchester United but there two major teams, Manchester Untied and Manchester City. Its the same in London with, Tottenham Hotspurs and Chelsea. But anyway it should be a good game.
It's the very first time that two teams from the same city have been in the Big Final. Better IMHO for it to be Madrid rather than London or, God forbid, Manchester. |

Other than that there's only S*******d nearby. |

Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
Liverpool's frailties showed through in the end.
I thought it was a certainty after they beat City but their weak defense returned to haunt them in the end. They should be delighted with Champions League. They'll be seeded low so it will make for an interesting group which is rare. Sadly we are due for a spell of City-Chelsea dominance and rivalry in the english game. An era of vast money laundering. |

Manchester United used to win the league within their means. You could argue they don't know with the Glazier debt. Tottenham, Arsenal and Everton all self sufficient clubs. |

I would say Leeds United and the old first division.

Not sure I agree with Leeds, transfers in prior to that title win. John Lukic £1,000,000†1990 Gary McAllister £1,000,000 1990 Rod Wallace - Southampton, £1,600,000, 1991†Tony Dorigo - Chelsea, £1,300,000, 1991 Steve Hodge - Nottingham Forest, £900,000, 1991 Eric Cantona - France Nîmes, £900,000, 1992[2] Decent amount of money for the time? |
