The top 6 will all still be top 6 at the end of the season with a few changes in actual positions.

It's going to be the best PL run-in for years. It's too tight to afford any slip-up's.

10 points from the next 6 is now 10 points from the next 5. That CL spot looks a little too far now.

Looking forward to next season already.

That was gone after a month once it was clear we'd spunked all that money on tat.

At least you bought some tat. We bought in accordance with the title of our former Director of F****all.

However, we were in the market. We flogged our best player.

I think it suits them, plus it'll keep them nice and cool in Brazil.

A tradition shared by Liverpool too!

If the article is correct and the players are turning on Moyes, Moyes is a dead man walking. I don't think I've ever seen a club stand behind the manager in that situation.

It's a tradition many a team , including Liverpool with yellows and purples can stake a claim to.

From the live text on BBC:

"Alan Pardew's future will undoubtedly be the talk of the town for the next 48 hours or so. Maybe longer.

Will he survive headbutting a player? Quite a remarkable sentence to write to be honest..."

Was the pitch flat, or a bit rocky?

I don't believe so. I think it's between City, Chelsea and Arsenal.

The fine for Pardew from the club was 100k, that's before the FA fine if they decide to add one. Expensive afternoon.

But at least he's cemented his place in the hearts of the Geordies. He'll now be referred to as Wor Alan Hardew.

True. Having been pushed out of the way, I think good old Jack Charlton would have done the same thing.

Spurs marched on.

On the evidence of that performance I am not looking forward to our trip to Chelsea next week.

That being said it would be nice if Soldado can score a few more between now and the end of the season.

I'd say the title race is between Chelsea and City now.

Hardly call it "march", but I agree with your last sentence.

They could, its not likely, but no one is going to want to defend against them with the talent and form they have up front and City and Chelsea still have to go to Anfield.

Get a result again Utd and the pressure will mount further.

On the other hand the defence is always 2 minutes from droping a clanger and the whole squad is only 2 injuries from mediocrity.

But, yes they can do it! My money is still on City, on goal difference from Chelsea, Liverpool 3rd 3 points back.

Groping a clanger?

PS Anything can happen in football.
