All my bank accounts are named after pets.

Nice one Arry

But Mr Redknapp told police it was not a loan, the jury heard. He also told officers that he did not tell his accountant about the account because he thought there was no money in it.

On the second day of the trial, the jury heard Mr Redknapp kept his Monaco account a secret from his accountant for four-and-a-half years and from his bank relations manager for five years and eight months.

Well of course he kept it secret as there was allegedly no money in it

Anyone know what 'Arry's defence is in this case? I must admit, on the face of it, it seems he's been caught bang to rights. He's denying the charges though so he must have a defence case to plead, or it wouldn't have come to court?

His defence seems to be some nonsense about how he thought the cash had already had tax paid on it in the US. I mean, really!

It'll just be a fine though (prolly).

I need 'Arry to stay out of jail long enough so that he can source some mates from old east end of London to get around Balotelli's house and skin that ****er from head to toe. Oh, and if we can just secure 3rd too that would be nice.

Then, he can go to jail - I guess.

After todays statements by Arry I would have plead not guilty and used diminished capacity as a reason or even as a defence

Harry Redknapp said he was "sick and tired" of bung slurs and claimed he was victimised because of his Cockney accent, a court has been told.

I do tend to agree with him If I had a cockney accent Id feel victimised

I wonder if this will be on sale at Sid James Park (Sports Direct Arena) or will the Toon fans only wear it on away days or that Euro trip to Swansea

Well a return to the EPL for both of them is more exciting than a trip to Brighton

Rumour has it that Toronto FC are considering a bid for Andy Carroll as Canadians have a track record for buying subs that dont work and paying over the odds for them from British sources.

'Arry's getting a bit desperate. I'm not sure whether he's got a shot at Poet Laureate. but this sure as hell isn't helping....

Your Andy Carroll sub thing was good- more of that.

That was the Youf team. The Grown-Ups appear to be concentrating on the prem. Just a few more points to guarantee survival and then who knows...?

Mid-table finish and relegation next year?

But (semi) seriously, the last two games have demonstrated how thin the squad is. Minus Ba and Chiote (and today Coloccini) it's just not been the same. I hope Cisse is a good addition but we need several more to compete.

Yes, quite funny. I think the FCB will take him back for $5M plus a bag of crisps. And of course once he's back in his native land he'll score 40 goals a year until he's 35 and then take over as manager. Obvious innit?

I was close! I think City will cough and splutter to the end.

We have a tough next 4 or 5 games but after that a nice home straight.

With United failing to sign a decent midfield playmaker I'd say there is a long way to go.

I see the Kurgan scored a goal last night. Cost per goal probably similar to Gary Birtles, allowing for inflation.

If the Arsenal game stays 0-0. Tonight they will be 12 points behind Spurs.

I am happy to declare St Totteringhams is cancelled effective immediately and indefinately :-)

Also some one needs to remind Wenger that the Inter Toto Cup starts around June so no leave this year. Unless of course Sunderland catch up and pass them :-)

Whey, y'bugga wud y'look at that?

It's February and the lads are in 5th. 39 points, 21 clear of the drop zone. I'd say mission one accomplished and we get Senegal back before the next match. Look out Chelshite, we're right behind you.

I'm starting to feel good about this season. :)

Only 5 pts in it, I say 5 pts in it ... mind you, a ghastly run of games coming up and the prospect of 'Arry going to jail too. Still, one can dream...

Exactly. All anyone can hope for is to still be able to dream with 15 matches to go.

For Spurs (who I'm pretty sure will be in the Champions League or whatever it's called these days) can still dream of the top. Wor lads, can still dream of the Champions League, but would be overjoyed with the other one. (Whatever it's called these days).

Either way, considering we did the drop just over 2 years ago, I'd be happy.

Well we've got Aston Villa at home next, then Spurs away (a draw would be very very nice) and then Wolves at home for the rest of this month.

Could be worse. We'll see.

I'm a bit interested to see how Cisse (no not that one) plays in his debut.

aston villa and wolves at home you must fancy your chances, yids away might be a bit tougher hope you can grab a point there.;)

Why, thank you kind sir. The biggest (known) problem in the immediate future is that Tiote is still in Africa and Cabaye has picked up a 3 match suspension (2 still to go). Also it is reported that Cisse is unlikely to start on Sunday because he only showed up at SJP earlier today and may need to integrate in training for a week or so.

On verra, comme on dit en Newcastle ces jours. :)

You'll get a draw at WHL. I'll bet my entire karma on a 1-1.

But I think I'd not like to get ahead of the one game at a time mantra. We play Aston Villa next and I think they are rather good. There are three ex-Toon players aboard (Given, N'Zogbia and Ireland) and returnees to SJP always seem to play a blinder.

Bastards.

OK, now we can speculate on the Spurs game.

Fantastic strike by The Other Demba for the winner.
