In the same way that Peter Schmeichel had a few ball to hand incidents while his arms were streched out........... at least he didn't try the Stephen Taylor encore though.

Yes, a bit like that. I said it was a penalty alright, no doubt at all. Ball to hand, but the hand had no business being where it was.

The better team won and deserved to. C'est la vie or possibly la checkbook.

NUFC looked half decent from what I saw but Man City seem to be at a different level to everyone right now.

Most obviously in their trading losses last year. 179m pounds I read.

If they do that next year (actually this year) they can win all the prem titles they want, but they can't compete in Yurop.

Surely 3 points for the Lillywhites tomorrow. Let's hope Liverpool beat Chelsea too.

Now, after today's Chelsea loss, if your lilywhites could please arrange to lose against Villa, the weekend would have worked out quite nicely for NUFC after all.

No malice intended. :sneaky:

No malice taken but I hope for six points for our two games in hand and we'll be in third just one point behind Manure. Apparently we're being delisted on the exchange so we can then get nice big loan/investment and build our new ground/stadium. COYS

I don't want to jinx it but after 61 minutes this Tottenham performance has been magnificent. They are keeping the ball. Pushing some brilliant short passes around and making chance after chance.

I was only able to follow it on the grauniads mbm commentary, but it sounds like Spurs were a bit on fire & could've/should've scored many more.

Welcome to third place, I hope it's been kept warm enough for Mr. Oink.

That's very congenial of them although Newcastle have a couple of tough fixtures coming up and I fear they will be keeping a few places warm for other clubs.

Adebayor should have had four or five but seeing as he's on my fantasy league the cad missed them on purpose.

First of all, sorry I couldn't meet you James. In the end I had to work and listen to it on the radio. I'd say our best performance of the season and we're well worth our place up there.

1,000 apologies Novo, but I'd say the carriage outside is starting to look pumpkin shaped.

Oh that's OK. Assuming we come up empty at Old Trafford next week, we could easily be in 7th place. But if you'd told me at the start of the year that we would be in 7th place at the end of November I'd have queried your choice of tobacco.

.... and if you'd said we'd be in top four, I'd have asked where you bought it.

THERE'S ONLY <ahem> ABOUT HALF A DOZEN UNITEDS.

If it continues until they have 40 points, I'll be happy. 14 to go. :)

After they thrash Chelsea in the next game it'll be only 11, and then they have 4 winnable games in a row.

If all goes well they could be safe by Christmas.

And next?

BBC do not mention suicide ( nor did the police as far as I can see ) but the Daily Mail did.

In either case, sad loss.

I don't want to get cocky, but I think Andre Villas-Boas will be next out.

Perhaps on Saturday afternoon?

Could be - he's made the worst start of any recent Chelsea manager. Pardew for Chelsea..........

Spurs are 3rd folks having played a game less. Let's talk about how bloody fantastic the Lillywhites and Harry's army are.

We didn't acquit ourselves very well yesterday. Rather a shabby show at home I thought.
