You can get odds of 5-1 on the Toon to beat Chelski. Sounds like free money to me.

Meanwhile, the German Man U have just been humiliated 4-0 by Zenit St. Petersburg and Rangers are in extra time after a thrilling 180 minutes, 0-0.

Rae

totally agree........couldn't live with that result but it wouldn't have happened anyway

managed to purchase 1 x Final ticket today....might try to drive from bratislava but may end up paying the 2 day trip price with United........

.......was last in Moscow on way to World Cup in 2002.........an interesting place.......:)

ooh jealous. priced up from here, $2500 cheapest ticket, then flights and accomodation. "thats the whole of the basement mudded, taped and painted with all the fittings" shrieked mrs rae. "that'll be me not going then" says rae with puppy look on face to no effect.

Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread

I only paid face value through Man Utd 100 euros for ticket.............not sure yet how much for rest

they are trying to speed up visa process for 41,000 fans 'irony there given this forum'............United will not sell you the ticket unless your passport details etc .........

........just concentrating on beating the 'Irons' on Saturday now:thumbsup:

Have you tried the University? I've had no trouble watching Champions League matches at the various UBC pubs and bars.

They have pubs and bars at UBC? Who knew?

Rangers through to meet Zenit in Manchester after 4-2 on penalties.

Manure & Chelsea plus one or two fans -> Moscow.
St. Petersburg plus one or two fans -> Manchester.

So much for FIFA's carbon footprint.

They do. For footie you've got a choice between The Pit (dark, sleazy, crap beer, but dirt cheap) and Mahoneys Real Authentic Genuine Irish Bar®© (expensive, reasonable food, pert young waitresses in short skirts). It is actually run by a paddy, or at least a man doing a good impression of one.

Obviously, the bulk of the Man Utd fans at these events are Chinese.

Clearly all major European club finals should be played in the UK given the clear dominance of the home teams in such competitions.

4-1 final score.
No good at all, boring second half now mancs gloating on the pitch.
The special one (mark 2) will have to put a stop to this 20-0 against the toon should do the trick.

Good day all round for United

Wigan are now safe......they should be eating pies next Sunday watching United knock in the goals like West Ham did today.

Bolton will need something from last game if things stay as they are.....

but in between the Toon will relish the match on Monday........

......Match of the Day will be more enjoyable this Saturday than last

Staunch Liverpudlian Jamie Carragher has already declared who he wants to win the Champions League, now his Liverpool side are out of the running. "I hope Chelsea win," said the honest defender. "I don't like Manchester United." (Daily Telegraph)

I like him as a player and he'd be a very good addition to our squad, but I wouldn't rate him as a 15 mil player. I'd consider him closer to 9-10 mil.

4th in the Premiership is a top prize for those scousers to collect............

......hope Jamie Carragher places the certificate on his footballers wives mantelpiece next to his 'I hate all Mancs' trophy.

......but saying that only Spurs have won anything yet this season.......

.......and also it was nice to see Arsenal at least last until April before their season finished...

..........they won an award from UEFA last year for being the first top side to finish their season on 3rd March 2007

I like Obafemi, but for $15 million I'd say we'd got value for money.

1633: So close! Newcastle go agonisingly close to taking the lead three times in five seconds. First Martins looks pulls down Enrique's pass 10 yards out but is denied a shot by Carvalho, then Mark Viduka brings a save from Petr Cech on the ground from the rebound, before Michael Owen looks to pounce on the subsequent spill only for John Terry to clear his shot off the line.
