I agree, I think the old 40 point target will be lower this year

Any team that has John Terry playing for them and a Russian mobster paying for them is a joke. |

All credit to Spurs though probably the least hated club by Northerners. Will Arry be able to keep hold of his squad though? Bale valuation of 60 million is a bit rich though still a better value than Carroll at 35 mill. Will Modric stay or go? Interesting times ahead of the Yids. |

The other two games within the 6 are Wigan and Newcastle. If we are still within 3 points of the top after that then anything is possible- we would certainly have the easiest run in. |

It's just a question now of getting work on the new ground going as that will really be what determines the long term future. |

Draw sounds like a good idea to me. Bon chance. BTW, we've got QPR at home then Fulham and Blackburn away for the rest of Jan. Not (I hope) particularly daunting even without Ba ad Chiote. Yes, I still have a spark of hope left (for the CL not the top). |
Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
C'mon Newcastle,can beat these...
Double header today with Swans going to gun down the Arsenal next. |

Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
Isnt own goal now their leading goal scorer seeing as Demba Ba is at the ANC?
Not exactly a convincing win but 3 points is 3 points. |

Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
Excellent news today. It seems that Toon have signed Demba Ba's Senegalese international strike mate from Freiburg for a reported 10M euro.
Papiss Demba Cisse scored 22 goals last season in the Bundesliga and has notched 9 in the first 15 games this season. He's 26 and has a real goal scorer's first touch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lD4QpwPahpM I'm rather happy. <Of course knowing our luck, they'll both get crocked in the ANC> |

Does this clear the way for Ba to go? The Cockerel will stem the Blue Moon rising this weekend. |

On Ba, "Arry's claim that there's a buy out in his contract is only partly true. It can only be activated after the season's over. He wants to renegotiate before then. (Likely in case his knee gives out before then). Of course, if Liverpool offer 20 million quid plus Andy Carroll, they might get a deal. :) |
