We were the better team for most of the game - Story of our season has been poor finishing / low goals tally despite playing very well and creating chances in most games so far. Hopefully this will be the real start to our season. I must admit at 1 down I really did not think that we would get anything with Crouch off due to losing teeth!!!

Not sure whats going on with the Geordies lately - they were superb last season. But as your rightly say the beat goes on.....

Good Luck for rest of the season

Thank you. I think what's going on is too many matches (what with the Europa thing) and a too small squad coupled with a lot of injuries and two recent important suspensions (Tiote & Collocini).

Now arguably our three best players, Ben Arfa, Cabaye and Taylor, are out injured for a long while and our best striker from the second half of last season is not firing on all cylinders (Cisse).

If Toon don't bring in effective new talent in January I'd say they're ****ed.

Didn't Pardew get a new eight-year contract? That'll give you flexibility if you drop near the relegation zone.

We've already dropped near the zone, but at least now 3 points less near.

They totally over-reacted to that with the taking away the standing areas, the problem was a combination of the fence and the police allowed too many in..

Removing the fence was enough to ensure it couldn't happen again. Standing is fine everywhere else in the world, as it was for 100 years in the UK.

Now they want to put another barrier up!!!!

I think they should tear down all of the stands and make everyone watch it on Sky :p

Your right, wont ever happen. This is more something they are saying to make it look like they care, anything to avoid negative press.

Have you seen the price of alcohol in Scotland these days!

There's no duty-free limit and no Customs officials at Gretna yet!

The Scotch (sic) don't hate the English. History has taught the Scots not to trust the thieving, conceited, lying, conspiratorial Sassanach bastards.
