Teatime Choices

Re: Teatime Choices
I'm going to try something like that but maybe with blue cheese or garlic and herb Boursin instead.
Saturday - Jamie Oliver's Chicken Breast (seasoned with added coriander powder and thumped between parchment paper) roast cabbage and potato salad.
Sunday - Bison steak, roast spuds and sautéed cabbage, using goose fat for the spuds and cabbage.
The sautéed cabbage was nice but it made me want to do it with leeks instead.

This has likely been asked countless times before, but heck ...
What's the difference between a Buffalo and a Bison?
Leeks are incredibly versatile, I'm using them more and more.

Turkey drumsticks . Maybe in a very mild korma curry affair as I can't eat spiced food.

My neighbour suggested I harvest some of her romaine lettuce from beside the front step, and I was glad for it. I broke an anchovy and a half from the frozen ones, thawed, lime, sea salt. then fried in butter, mashed and mixed with my expired Caesar dressing, garlic simmered in butter then discarded, cubed bread fried in that for croutons, grated a bunch of my Grana Padano parmesan and enjoyed my first Caesar salad in a good long while. I like a Caesar salad with some guts to it, not just something that tastes like water.

My stepdaughter likes them almost as much as I like a Greek Salad. We all had salads today, mine a Greek. (I had one for lunch too)
I had a nice cold "beer" too, of the de-alcoholised variety
Siouxie was right. These beers can be just fine..

Re: Teatime Choices
I bought some pork shoulder chops on offer. Not something I would usually buy as can be dry .
Anyway I think I might try the method of baking them with cream of mushroom soup poured over.
Could perhaps team with some gratin potatoes and green beans I froze from the veg garden a while back.
Might be a goer.
