I've been doing it for years with earphones. I think it depends what's on. Given you are closer to a laptop than the TV the laptop screen seems about the same size. Unless you have a big TV.
Netflix is also available from our TV service so it's easy enough to watch on TV too and an HDMI cable to do that is also easy.
In my case, I just don't want to be unsociable and watch upstairs while everyone else is downstairs or vice versa. We're not watching much together coz my tastes are mostly different to theirs.

Going to to find a walk in clinic tomorrow for a 2nd opinion, I not sure my GP is correct and she isn't listening to my concerns.
Since April my throat has felt likes its burning, mild sensation, coughing fits as it feels like something is stuck in my throat, ear aches a bit and when I swallow my throat feels tight.
GP say's allergies but I have no history of allergies, and the OTC and RX allergy medications haven't helped. GP just keeps saying allergies, but I don't think its allergies, plus with none of the allergy medications working, seems like its something else, but GP is set on allergies and wont consider anything else.
Just have to decide if I should tell the walk in clinic who my GP is, last time I used a walk in clinic and told them, my doctors office scolded me for using a walk in clinic.

I wish I could take a road trip somewhere, would be nice to get away from this noisy place for a few days.
Air Canada and Air Transat have formally announced AC will buy the company for $13/share which values AT at $520 million.
Still needs regulatory and shareholder approval, if approved AC plans to operate the 2 companies are separate entities and brands.

It's horrible to feel that your GP isn't listening to you.
