In Vancouver's West Side, you need to earn $450,000/year to buy and maintain a house. Median income there is $65,000
Most 'affordable' area is Maple Ridge, where income gap for a house is $35,000

There are 7 markets where a median income earner could buy a condo, Vancouver is not on the list.
Our income is around 60% under the median, so I think its safe to say we have no future in this region.

Why is it when life is pretty crap we start looking at moving back to the UK? I thought we had decided on Ontario, but I think that we has changed to I.
After our recent trip, I thought wow far too busy and we couldn't afford it anyway, however Mr Piff thinks Norfolk would be the answer, brainstorming resulted in me saying how about a car import business? Well that got cogs turning. I still like the little house on a lake and lots of travelling idea myself.

Replace the K with an S for me. I do thing same but instead of thinking of going to the UK, its the US.
My wife wants to move to Switzerland, but I am not keen on living in Europe anywhere, prefer this side of the world, just not above the 49th parallel.

I lived in Norwich for almost two years when I was a young thing. I have nothing but fond memories of the place so I'm not wholly against Norfolk in any shape or form. But I am really wanting to give Ontario a go.

Donald Trump tweeted this today
3000 people did not die in the two hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico. When I left the Island, AFTER the storm had hit, they had anywhere from 6 to 18 deaths. As time went by it did not go up by much. Then, a long time later, they started to report really large numbers, like 3000...
Ok Barack Obama, John McCain , Joe Biden, or anybody with a working brain, wherefore art thou? Will no one rid us of this ignorant, obnoxious, narcissistic fool?

Today, 14 years after arriving in Canada, I heard my first Canadian 'eh' that was said naturally rather than for humour or some other effect.
"Beautiful day, eh?" said the woman to me while I was waiting for my taxi outside Superstore.
Quite unremarkable and exactly the same use as I've heard many a time back in England. Why is it considered Canadian?
