We have another pooch - a 5 year old beagle cross from a rescue organisation - who was done recently. In a previous life he lost most of his tail & combined with his "adjustment" I started referring him as "Stumpy no-bollocks" much to Mrs AX's disgust. His actual name is "Kevin". He's a quiet guy but our other beagle just interupted the conference call I was on to bark loudly at a passing bird. "Hello Frank" said my colleagues on the phone. They're used to hearing from him. :-)

If someone knows someone travelling from Regina to Vancouver I'll send you a laptop. Networking like this can work with a little luck. I'll ask everyone at work today.

24 hour blood pressure monitor today. Not looking forward to lack of sleep tonight.
They didn't have any straps for the machine so I borrowed a knitted purse like thing that MIL made.Very fetching.

Can you walk or cycle to your local aquarium store?
If so, hang out there, pester until they let you volunteer to help with the shit jobs, then you'll be first in place when the actual jobs open.

I had to wear one 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for a month. I feel your pain!
Is it one that can 'clip on' to a top or trews? If so, put on jogging bottoms or similar or a top that is thicker, double the material over a bit and clip it on in the centre at the front - either mid chest or mid belly, lol.. shouldn't interfere with your sleep that way.

Spoiler:

It's okay if I just lay it down next to me, but for me the issue is waking and knowing it's going to go shortly and being awake until it goes and then 40 minutes later the same thing happens. I spend as much as 20 minutes every hour anticipating the next squeeze.

Ugh sorry - misread your original post - didn't realise it's the blood pressure one..

Mine was an ECG one that had a blackberry phone with it for onward transmission every couple of hours.
Yes, the blood pressure one would be very annoying!
Hope you manage to get some sleep

Worst thing the last time I was in hospital was the blasted blood pressure machine.
I would just fall asleep and damn thing would go off waking me up.
That and the heart thingers would come lose and the machine would freak out.
