Over the weekend someone had what appears to job shame an actor from the Cosby show who was working at Trader Joes.

I guess that's the downside of not looking like the dog walker in the video Bristol posted

Could also be locale. Different crowd in EV compared to say Kits.

Yeah its a lot different on this side, we are not in the hip part of East Vancouver, we are in the, rent is cheaper because we are on the cusp of the DTES, go 3.5 blocks west and it gets real interesting really quickly, some of that interesting does come over this way, the side streets around us are mostly SFH and industrial, not usually many people walking about, and most of the time the park is empty as well, not really an area full of people walking about.

Not the ideal area to live but rent is lower over on this side.

Just had a pair of squirrels running around on the deck, in and out of pots. Nothing unusual but don't recall two at the same time, so close together. What with the butterflies, the lovely birds - including hummingbirds just outside the window - the occasional raccoon and a ground-hog once, sometimes I feel a bit like Snow White.

My Daisy died from bloat this evening. I'm absolutely gutted. Both my pupsters gone within months of each other. This year can just go and do one.

Ohhhhhhhhh Piff, I am so so so sorry.. that's awful. It's so damn hard when we lose one of our fur babies - to lose two so close together is horrific.

My thoughts are with you xx

They'll be playing together over that rainbow bridge xx <<<hugs>>>

That stinks. I'm so sorry to read this. They are lovely looking dogs.

Yes. This year can certainly go do one.

This is what we learned today in DBT, its also apparently one of the hardest DBT skills to practice, learn and use.

Marsha Linehan is the creator of DBT.

The worst part of anti-depressant medications is withdrawing from them. This time around is easier compared to last as this medication isn't as bad, but still not fun and hard to function fully, brain feels funny, fuzzy and super sleepy, should only last a couple weeks, but still not fun.

Drug makers prefer the term Antidepressant discontinuation syndrome over withdrawl though.

Boring boring day, just me and the dog at home this weekend, really boring when alone for several days in a row.

Why do you have to come off them?

Why not take Charlee (is that your dawg's name?) on the bus to the beach or something. Have an outing.

Been on them for several years with no noticeable improvement in mood, and medications are not recommended for most people with borderline any longer due to medications not being effective at treating borderline.

As for Charlee, have to find a kennel small enough to fit on my lap, but big enough to fit her which has been a challenge, she isn't a large dog, but she isn't a small dog, longer then most dogs her weight, so kennels in the stores we have found thus far are all too short for her and she cannot fit inside them, so currently she cannot ride transit.

We go on walks everyday, East Vancouver just isn't the most grand place to spend time.

Ooooh! There's a website for that!
https://dachshundcentralshop.com/
Once you find out the brand you could likely get it on Amazon ..
Original Sherpa Pet Carrier seems to be a popular choice but they are expensive new. You can get them on kijiji in Ontario for $20-$40 2nd hand, but couldn't find any on there for Vancouver... maybe Craigslist or one of the freecycle groups / FB buy and sell groups?
Amazon seems to have a few choices that might suit Charlee https://www.amazon.ca/PetsNall-Approved-Soft-Sided-Foldable-Ventilation/dp/B00YT5RP7S/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_199_bs_lp_img_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=C6AYQGY2D6ERTMMF2JTE

Very cute !

JS. Could even get a hold all bag, put a board in the bottom, replace one end with mesh and voilà ! an inexpensive Daschund carrier !
