I'm hoping you won't do what has been suggested in that thread though!

When we started getting really loud heavy metal bands in the bar, oh maybe 15 years ago, the gophers which used to dig burrows all around the building left. A few came back but not nearly as many.

Where is good to visit on a day trip to Toronto? We'll only be there from say late morning until mid evening (we're getting the bus there and back!), my sister wants to 'mooch around little oddball stores and maybe a market, pootle around the odd site seeing stuff, then coffee shops, maybe a wine bar and then dinner'. I can't walk very well or very far due to a sudden onslaught of arthritis in both hips - (I'm seriously considering renting an electric scooter thingy for the day) -so ideas in a smallish area appreciated!

St Lawrence Market and area. There's a nice enough Indian place right by there for grub and a Balzac's coffee. I think they are in church street.
