I would stick with what is working at the moment. When I did WW when I was back in the UK I swapped around with the plans - when one stopped working, do the other one for a week and then go back to the other one.

Did that give you a boost or was it a boredom thing and just needed the change of focus? As you say - I'm not sweet toothed so that side of things has not been so hard to steer clear off other than that one week in four. My nemesis is potato. Doesn't matter how they come I love, no adore them....

It was more of a boredom thing but it did work as a boost - I could have my choccy that week (yes that ONE week when you have to have choc or you will kill everyone!) without cheating as such and I could then go back to the other plan.

Well alas - only 1/2 lb this week - but it was OFF!
Just tried the Chicken & Chorizo Gumbo - OMG - its lush....just a few tweaks (added a bit of sugar to balance the tomatoes and I used what veg I had instead of the Okra etc. they use....) but its approx 4 points and I served with rice for a huge and hearty dinner without a compromise on the flavour.
175g Chorizo & 175g Chicken
Onion
Pepper
2 Garlic
1 level tbs flour
2 Stock Cube (I used veg in the absence of chicken)
400g Tinned Tomatoes
1/4 tsp tyme
1 pinch salt & black pepper (to taste)
1 bay leaf
1 tsp sugar
Add in other veg as required....I added Sweetcorn and Carrots etc.
Generously spray flameproof casserole with cooking spray. Add chicken and chorizo sausage and brown, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
Stir in vegetables and garlic. Sauté for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle with flour. Cook 1 minute. Stir in chicken stock and scrape up any brown bits from bottom of casserole.
Stir in tomatoes, bay leaf, thyme, salt and pepper. Simmer 20 minutes. Place in 4 bowls, sprinkle with spring onion and serve.
Can be served with rice...fantastic

Just to let you know I haven't defected, I still read all your threads but have had nothing to report lately.
Have had to cancel the monthly WW membership and also my gym membership as trying to get everything sorted before our move on 29th August. So weight wise I am at least sticking so not put any on but not lost any. Going to WW and the gym really does work.
My house went on the market today and when sign put up I had tears....
.OH thinks I'm silly but i've had my house since about 1980 and its been a lovely house.......every year I've done Christmas for all my family (3 sisters etc) so lots of happy memories. (his house is on the market as well but no takers yet)
So keep up the good work and when I get over perhaps have more to report, will be looking for local WW class and gym around the Nanaimo area on Vancouver Island.

Something I forgot to tell you all (jogged my memory reading chips & curry sauce thread), my son and his friend have opened a fish and chip shop in St Annes on Sea. And its really good. Just hope he does well as leaving him behind. They have named it Northern Sole, which I think is quite apt as in my youth I was a Northern Soul fanatic as well as the old Tamla Motown. Have only allowed my self a couple of trips, and made him go easy on the chips.

well, haven't posted for a little while, but keeping an eye on the thread, so congrats to all for keeping up the hard work
i've not really been concentrating on losing weight recently, but fairly happy to be maintaining and i'm really pleased to say that after a 12-day recce to NS (having finally tried french vanilla and timbits!!) that a weigh-in at work today revealed i stayed the same!!
i've got a physio/rehab course next week apparently involving 4.5 hours of exercise per day (hydrotherapy & other stuff i'm not totally sure of) so hoping i might lose a few lbs!!
here's to the summer slimmers!

well done flipflop! hope the move hasn't been too stressful!
i've been farting around with food for the last couple of months, not "dieting" as such but also not being really silly (or so I thought but the scales have shown a 5-6lb rise since beginning of june, which tbh, included 2 holidays and a week-long residential course!)
so for the last week i've gone back to my slimming world plan (although not the meetings) and pleased to say i had a 2lb loss this week!
as the past week included a leaving do at a local pizzeria followed by drinks in town i was pretty pleased, hoping that the leaving do tonight at an indian won't do too much harm on the scales next week!
