I applied in LATE November 2007 (175 CSL) PAPER APPLICATION and no case officer yet
we have to wait, but there are positive signs that they are processing November 2007 paper based applications.
but What I noticed the situation is different for IT applicants, their processing is much more quick, I guess
Good Luck

Does allocation of CO's depend on the profession you apply? For Eg do you think Doctors and Health related occupations are prioratised even if they dont fall into CSL MODL..State Sposership? Like you have said IT professions go faster through processing and allocation likewise can docotrs with 176 Family sponsored visas get priority processing even after 1st of Jan 2009 changes...? PLZ
Hmmm.. May be... but ASPC clearly mentioned that "Applications are being allocated in date of lodgement order"
#649
I applied and got my confirmation on the 20th of November 2008 as a Doctor applying for health related occupation under 176 (Family Sponsored). Whilst my Aunt applies as a Hair dresser with a state sponsorship on the 20th of January 2009 which is in the top of the hierarchy for selection and allocation of CO’s…! (According to 1st of Jan changes)
Now out of me and my Aunt who do you think will get a CO at the earliest? Who will be prioritized?
Even with the changes do you think 176 VE will be prioritized over 175 SOL?
thnx

Can somebody please explain what does it mean to have a CO allocated?
What happens to your application after lodging..does it just sit there to be taken by a DIAC official or some one else other than a CO goes through our documents and verify them before CO takes over?
And what is the role of a CO?
Applicants through Agents get priority than self applicants?
Thnx

I have only seen one person with a similar visa and profession to me (fitter 4112-11) getting through pretty quickly ( I think about August 2008 application but don't quote me on it as it is late and I have had a beer and it was a couple of days since I saw it on beupdate) .

Can somebody please explain what does it mean to have a CO allocated?
- When any DIAC official is engaged to assess your application, that is the event: CO allocated
What happens to your application after lodging..does it just sit there to be taken by a DIAC official or some one else other than a CO goes through our documents and verify them before CO takes over?
- CO is the person who will assess your application in favor of DIAC.
And what is the role of a CO?
- Already discussed
Applicants through Agents get priority than self applicants?
- No way....
Thnx
