Yeah I know, sucks big time!

We've got ourselves a WHV now and are going to Oz in May to travel for a year while we wait. If the visa takes longer to arrive then we'll get a New Zealand working holiday and go there instead.

Its frustrating though, esp when I saw a chap I was talking with doing my skill assement apply for his 175 (same as me) 2 months before me and his turned up in Jan (5 months!).

Gutted!

Smile Re: Current Processing Times (continued)

Wohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Today I got he VISA GRANT LETTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cant believe the processing speed of ASPC....

++++++++++++++++++++++

My Timeline -->

Application Type : VE Subclass 176 Skilled ( Migrant ) Family Sponsored.
ASCO CODE : 2231-79 ( Oracle Specialist ) -- IT professional.
Application Date : Feb'2008
CSL - YES
MODL - YES
PCC : 20 Jan'2009
Medical : 06 April'2008
HR Country --> MUMBAI - INDIA
CO - Allocated- 04th Mar'2009
VISA GRANTED : 06th March'2009

Important Advice from me !!!!

1)
I got the initial entry date as 06th Nov'2009. As my medical is to be expired by 06th April...I got grace of 7
months...So if anyone medicals are getting expired, dont do it.. Its upto Case officer, whether he/she wants to redo or
not.

2)
As my spouse has not appeared for her IELTS application. I was planning to pay the second visa installment. But the
CO has never asked for that.. So if the secondary applicant has not appeared for the IELTS, Just provide all her
educational certificates atleast till Graduation. All her certicates should be in English...

3)
Dont do 100% faith in the Agent. As i think this forum is the best mode of Information we should share.. I did everything
myself. And this DIAC website is filled with lots of Information...i need only 10 days for gathering all the information
regarding visa application from this website ( www.immi.gov.au) and few of the forums....I know few of my friends visa got
rejected due to some neglegence from the Agent side. They have not submitted their IELTS score with the main application, and
appeared for the IELTS exam after submitting their application....

i will always assosiated with this forum...and share my experience with you all..

i will be flying to Sydney very sooon.........................

Hopefully one day we all will meet in Australia...Keep in touch !!!!!!

All The Best !!!!!!

Congrats....Best of luck for future....

I agree with you regarding doing the whole thing yourself. I did everything myself too, and guess what I got hold of this website after I lodged my application I got all info from the DIAC website. But since then this forum has been a great help, and you answered a lot of queries of mine..thanks and a ton and best of luck...

Now I believe with your timeline that DIAC does security checks even before CO is allocated, coz you got visa within 2 days after you got CO. Do you also think so?

One more query, are'nt Indian PCC valid for 6 months? How come you got entry date almost 11 months post your PCC? I believed that entry date is decided on validity of PCC and medicals both. Plz clear my doubt...

Thanks and congrats again...

The above comment about agents is not a wise comment, maybe in your case it was straightforward but in many it is not, often people can not complete the process without a agent, dont be so quick to put them down!!
