Re: December 2007 Applicants
No email. On the DIAC website under "check the progress of your application" it has always said "Application recieved- processing commenced 20-12 2007"
It's been like that since december, am hoping it will change to something else soon as I'm bored with that now

Re: December 2007 Applicants
Sorry if this sounds a really dumb question, but on the January thread we're all a bit confused because we thought the full acknowledgement was the email you get when you first submitted on line i.e.
'AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION OF APPLICATION FOR MIGRATION TO AUSTRALIA UNDER THE GENERAL SKILLED MIGRATION PROGRAM - REQUEST FOR FURTHER INFORMATION'
Did you get the above email as the pre acknowledgement, and then a further full acknowledgement asking for more stuff?
While i'm asking questions, anyone know anything about the Australian Value Statement? Apparently people off the Oct thread, who applied online, are being asked to sign one just before their visa is granted. I can't find an updated version of this form, other than the one in the paper application 2008, so i'm not sure where to get one from Apparently some agents are now asking their clients to fill this form in just incase it's requested!!!!

It's not just you who is confused. I'm paper based but had an email that said it was "ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RECEIPT OF VISA APPLICATION" and then the opening para says "We wish to acknowledge the application". I have "file reference number" on the letter but don't know if this is pre-ack or an ack??? I'm hanging in here but become obsessed!!
And i thought it was just me
Please, please, somebody, anybody, put us out of our misery!!!!

Hi
We submitted our application 20th December 07 does anyone out ther know what happens if an ex-partner refuses to let a child go for medicals or if they refuse to write a letter saying they arn't willing to allow them to go for a medical. I don't want anything to hold up the application process as things are going slow as it is without any additional problems!!!

Polyanna gave this thread to someone a few days ago - not sure if it will help. I know that this is a fairly common thing to come up so may be worthwhile doing a search on it http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Medica...ating_Children

We got an email in December to say our application had been received. But yesterday we got an email to confirm full acknowledgement.
It has a TRN number on it so we can check our application online.
So i think you guys just got an email to confirm you application was received and like us will have to wait for full acknowledgement.
Hope that was of some help and sorry if it was bad news

Its one you need specialist guidance on because I'm sorry, but it can cause a whole world of problems - just ask steveandtina!

Re: December 2007 Applicants
Got some other news, according to loads of people of the October thread, just before the visa's are granted they're being asked to sign and return Australian Value Statements, even if they ticked the statement button when they applied on line!!!! Most agents are now getting their clients to sign these statements just incase they're requested!!!
If anyone wants to frontload this statement to be on the safe side (where have i heard that before) I believe the following link takes you to the relevant page, you just select the type of visa you're applying for, print, sign (looks like one each, except kids) and then upload the bugger!
