Hi all,

ASPC currntly reciepting July 30th applications........hopefully we won't have to wait much longer before we start hearing something

See below:-

As of 22 October 2007 the ASPC Admin Section is processing applications as
follows:

All onshore applications: Processing applications received on 22 October
2007.

Offshore Applications received on or after 1 September 2007: Processing
applications received on 22 October 2007

Offshore applications lodged before 1 September 2007*: Receipting
applications received on 30 July 2007 and acknowledging applications
received on 9 July 2007.

* For these applications please note: Applicants and representatives who
have not authorised e-mail communication will not receive separate advice
that the ASPC has received and receipted an application and will receive
the standard acknowledgement letter and receipt details in due course.

Please note that any delay in acknowledging an application does not affect
the date on which a valid application is recorded as having been received
and does not delay processing of the application.

Once an application has been acknowledged it will be allocated to a case
officer for further assessment as soon as possible, however, the ASPC
receives a large number of applications and you will not be contacted
immediately.

Default Re: AUGUST 2007 Applicants

Hi All,
We contacted our agent with concerns to the time line as we applied/lodged 17/8. Thought you lot might like to KnoW what she had to say.....

Firstly, Acknowledgements under the old 136 category generally used to be issued within two months of lodgement. However, given the sheer number of 136 applications lodged prior to the September 1 changes (this applies particularly to applications lodged in July or August), Acknowledgements for these 136 cases are taking closer to three months to be issued. In some cases, Immigration has sent emails affirming the RECEIPT of a case, but it has been mentioned in the same emails that the Acknowledgements are currently being delayed.

What's important to note in regards to this is that Immigration has stated that DESPITE Acknowledgements being delayed, the time of decision on an application SHOULD NOT BE AFFECTED.

Hope this helps

Thumbs down Re: AUGUST 2007 Applicants

Hi there

Sent my daughter and boyfriend's 136 MODL arrived 5th August and no receipt or money taken yet. When we applied for ours in January we had money taken within 3 weeks, medicals in April and then granted visa in June, validated in July. Shows what a difference now.

Us neither

Our application was lodged exactly 9 weeks ago - feeling the need for a big this weekend!!

Good luck to everyone else; here's hoping the news for us Augustees starts coming soon.

Thanks for your email.

We've received acknowledgements for applications lodged up to 17 July today. As yours was 22 August, I think we're about 4-5 weeks off yet.

blah blah blah ...... If you want to pre-book med's, I'd do so for 5-7 weeks time, to be safe, and make sure you can change with little penalty.
