Hi there
I have already got our visa but applied for my daughter and boyfriend's on 5 August approx. Question is, they had their medicals done in September and have been on hold with the Doctor since then. Can we send them in just with the passport number on each page and will they get hooked up with their visa application when they eventually get round to it?
Any help would be good.

you can - and some do - referred to as front loading - BUT it is a risk that they may get lost. If you can it maybe worth holding onto them until you get a file reference number which makes them easier to match up.

Well guys a new week - 11 weeks post application for us not holding out much hope for that 12weeks timeline we were given for pre-ack as I am mid August and even the start of August applicants havent heard. :curse:

What are they playing at? Do they just hope we will have all died of stress related illnesses before we get there

Hi - Just posted this in a different thread having emailed our agent regarding sending medicals, this was the reply. Ours was received approx 5th August and not a sign of any life yet, not even money taken. Hope it helps.

"There is a massive delay (approximately 3- 6 months) with the ASPC. It will take some time before you are allocated a case officer. The medicals have to wait until we received an acknowledgement letter but you could scan the Police check to us."

oh god.... I have to change credit card (was stolen!!!) & passport details & havent yet had an acknowledgement or any details or any fees deducted yet!

agent suggested today we book medicals for 5/6 weeks time,.....but suggested we ask if there is a cancellation charge

does this mean he knows something but does not want to tell us just in case it does not happen..............

so has anyone had a medical yet ..if so where and costs (midlands)......how much adult/child price please

Not sure, we asked our agent yesterday about medicals and they are still saying to wait until we have a file reference number. There is a 6-8 week wait at the one we are going to use, so looks like after Christmas now anyway. Hopefully we will have a number by then. Got our PCC's back now so better have the visa before 25/10/08 as a year is a long time when trying not to get convicted of MIL bashing

we found 1 in birmingham....next day appointment, they said we can book a friday appointment, and if necessary keep canceling till following friday and so on until we get file number with no cancellation charge. to be honest cant be bothered with all the ringing up and re-booking. yep...wait for file number

Our visa went in on 3rd of Aug.

I've booked meds today for the end of Nov, and they said they will hold onto them if necessary until the ref no arrives.

I cant believe the size of the forms, it was real deja vu back to the start of the process

Got our police checks back and we have until 21/10/08!, Totally in limbo with meds at the moment, dont know what to do with the timeline emails not coming back from ASPC, Im guessing we are 3 weeks away from pre-ack now!, but it would be great to have file number for Xmas!, be the best Xmas pressie knowing our application has got past the "This is wrong so we are sending it all back to you" stage!

Its only been approx 10 weeks and it seems a lifetime!
