Big congrats to all of you!!
I got my letter today saying that my husband could sponsor me and that my forms had been sent to the London office!!!
Could not believe it, we have waited so long for this it all seems to be going by so fast now . But it will all be worth it in the end!!

But got locked out of the Ecass one to extend visitor visa. for some reason cant log into that! so frustrating.
My visitor visa expires on Jan 25th and my application started processing in london on 20th of november around there. So i could gamble and not extend my visa. because I'm going to go to london to drop my passport off when it comes though. but would be safer to extend.

Congrats flexsingh!!!! What a great christmas present!!! When are you hoping to land? I'm hoping mine wont take too much longer now.....CHC London sent back the photos we had included with our application on Christmas Eve and also sent 7 of my 8 passport photos back (they just kept the one I had written on the back of) - so I'm hoping they just don't need that stuff anymore and are completing the background checks. There was no letter in it, just a friendly compliments slip!! Anyway, fingers crossed for all of us still waiting that we get some good news soon. Congrats again!! Very happy for you

Shouldn't really post here as although I requested London, Buffalo processed my application. Anyway I posted my passport to buffalo early December, received it back a week later and landed today. The process was a breeze, we drove from Toronto to Niagara mid morning and at midday I started walking across Rainbow bridge. Had a little chat with US immigration fellow and was completely honest about the whole reason for entering the US, he asked me for 6 dollars and told me to enjoy my visit. Spent 10-15 minutes taking a few photos of the falls then started the rather chilly walk back to Canada. Had another chat with an immigration fellow who directed me to another building where I handed over my passport to an immigration lass, sat down and read a few pages of a book then answered a couple of questions, put 2 initials and 2 signatures on my form, was welcomed to Canada and told that I should spend at least 2 years in 5 in the country.
Anyone living in Toronto or easy commute to Niagara should seriously consider this method of landing as it was a complete breeze, the whole process took approximately an hour and compared to stories I have read here and elsewhere the US immigration process was a walk in the park or rather a chilly stroll in a spot of natural beauty.
