"Please be advised that resources are no longer available for 2012. We encourage you to continue monitoring our website for future international recruitment missions in your region or check our website again in 2013. "
To all this is what I received from MPNP. this means I will wait next year again.
@Manitobian,
is this really true?

Exploratory Visits reach annual capacity
Due to overwhelming global demand from people seeking to immigrate to Manitoba, Canada by making an MPNP Exploratory Visit, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is no longer accepting visit requests for 2012. Exploratory Visits will resume in 2013.

The question is: they just stop to accept visit requests, or also exploratory visits.

Re: Manitoba - Strategic Initiative
Hi Manitobian,
I got my answer today. Here is what they have to say in their response:-
"Please be advised that resources are no longer available for 2012. We encourage you to continue monitoring our website for future international recruitment missions in your region or check our website again in 2013."
Also they gave a URL to check back on their site that I cannot open at all -
http://www2.immigratemanitoba.com/br...pnp-visit.html
Here is my condition right now -
1. FSW has stopped accepting applications and I do not fit in any of their NOC in demand (I am IT Business Analyst)
2. My wife has open work permit, but she cannot apply in PNP to MB since I am staying in Ontario.
3. Other PNP programs are fully employer driven and I am not very sure if me or my wife will be accepted there since we are located in Ontario.
4. Ontario process is too difficult and no employer will recruit me and do LMO for me or pre-screen me.
5. I cannot apply under CEC since I arrived in Canada only in April of this year.
6. I do not have any connections (no relatives) in Canada who can sponsor me.
I am holding Masters in Computer Science, with 12 years of experience without any gaps and also have a good track record and still cannot get PR in Canada. Not sure if there is any good way to apply for PR in Canada. I am ready to stay in MB rest of my life if they accept me, but I already got my denial
Nevertheless, please let me know if you know of any resources that would be helpful to a person like me. I cannot believe any consultant can help me since I think if this group cannot answer my question, then probably no-one on this earth can
Thanks a lot for all your support and answering all my questions. I wish everyone all the best in their applications.

Re: Manitoba - Strategic Initiative
Good morning Manitobain, I've put my application in for a EV in mid- June so the news yesterday has left me wondering about whether I'll get across ( I guess I'll find out soon enough).
I was wondering if you had any news about the recruitment event in Ireland in early Oct, as I think I'll go to the event if I don't get an EV.
Thanks.

Frankly, I'd like to know which date is a threshold. When I was sending my request, the message was not on their web site. I don't find it fair

Re: Manitoba - Strategic Initiative
Oh Darn !!
What's happened to EV program
Seems like screws are really being tightened now by Feds since the initial declaration during Feb-Mar.
MPNP EV had been the envy of every other provincial PNP & had helped the province gain a considerable increase in number of immigrants.... Much more than any other province proportionately.
@manitobain : in your knowledge & experience of so many years, has there ever been any max cap on applicants for EV? Or is this cap also a new recent addition?
For folks who are really interested to apply under EV, my earnest suggestion would be to start applying now for Jan Feb EV interview, & utilize the time meanwhile to organize IELTS, job certificates, edu certificates, finances & all other corresponding required documents. And also keep trying for LMO MPNP route through job interviews in Manitoba. Who knows you may hit a goldmine.

Re: Manitoba - Strategic Initiative
This is really sad. I looked up the site and there is a prominent notice put up under the Strategic Initiatives section.

@ lovely_clouds: What is LMO MPNP route, if I may ask?
