I swear that if I ask someone a question between now and Christmas and they say "absolutely" instead of yes..............I will kill them, absolutely!
It has become a national obsession in no time..........innit?

Just spoken with my maid thro the jungle telegraph from Borneo to Goa.She also works for 2 russian couples who normally come for 6 months a year. Both couples have only just arrived and have only been given 2 month visas!!!!
And in case anyone is interested- Borneo is clean and cheaper than Goa for food. There are CLEAN public toilets everywhere, there are rubbish bins everywhere that people use and the the roads cannot be faulted. The roads are swept regularly, there is a regular garbage collection and there are flat ,level pavements to walk on.There are no shacks on the beach and all the handicrafts are housed in 1 market in the city- hence no lamanis or "come and lookee my shop".

you can get a visa for India without difficulty in Penang or KL (so long as you have been out for 2 months) though it may be only for 3 months even if there is a slim chance you could get lucky with a 6 month if you ask for one

after some research your correct, visas to india for malay nationals or residents only and in bangkok max 3 months on case by case basis regards foreigners/ non thai nationals or residents
these are all new rules in the past month and not flagged up very well, as you would expect
seems once you are out of india they really want to make it difficult to come back without passing by your home country for prolonged periods

Home made Baileys recipe is, 1 can condensed milk, 1 small carton of cream, 2 teaspoons vanilla essence, two heaped teaspoons instant coffee (the only one I have found in Goa is Nescafe – yuk but it does ok for this) and as much spirit as you think you will like, we use the local brandy rather than whisky and about 1/3 of a bottle. Put everything into a food processor and wiz until properly mixed then drink, poured over ice, within 3 days. Keep in fridge.
All measurements are approximate and can be adjusted to suit yourself.
