So, what about these companies offering last minute holidays to Goa?
Are they telling people about the visa?
Are they pointing out the on-line application, weird sized photos and pile of paperwork needed if they are taking the kids?
Are they telling them that they will have to apply for and COLLECT in person to be sure of receiving it?
Strikes me there could be few familes having a miserable Christmas if they jump at these offers without full info..........

Home made Baileys recipe is, 1 can condensed milk, 1 small carton of cream, 2 teaspoons vanilla essence, two heaped teaspoons instant coffee (the only one I have found in Goa is Nescafe – yuk but it does ok for this) and as much spirit as you think you will like, we use the local brandy rather than whisky and about 1/3 of a bottle. Put everything into a food processor and wiz until properly mixed then drink, poured over ice, within 3 days. Keep in fridge.
All measurements are approximate and can be adjusted to suit yourself.

Thanks for the recipe - will certainly give it a try (especially with imported Bailey's at extortionate price here).

By the way - do give the "San Andre - Triple Sec" liqueur from Newtons (around r/s 220 a bottle) a try this Xmas - poured over ice, just like Cointreau, & a fraction of the price.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all members.

There is now a new brand of instant coffee available!!Cant think what it`s called but it comes in powder, granules or freeze dried.Labels are yellow ,light brown and dark brown respectively. It comes in a glass jar with a slopey lid! The freeze dried compres very well with Gold Blend and it`s cheaper than Nescafe.

Entering Arpora from Calungute, there's a shop on the left, just past the barber shop, who had all sorts of liquers.
Noni, you missed out a very important 'I' in Iain's name!!!!

ICICI Bank now offer a 'guaranteed weekend rate' - it's what you actually get unlike many advertised rates.
Last weekend the pound was over Rs. 71 - this weekend it's Rs. 69.
