That fu**ing Sunburn Festival has a lot to answer for.Just seen an accident on Calingute Road to Candolim.Wow are the drivers bad this season. In 3 weeks i have witnessed 4 straight bangs and around 10 near misses. The kids cant drive who are turning up here and the Goans who loan them the bikes know it too. They can earn more from the hirers if they crash the bike.Saw two Russian girls who couldnt have been more than 14 years old struggling through the rush hour traffic in Calingute and the police were just laughing at them !

The locals are up in arms at this end of the beach. They blocked the Baga Road for hours yesterday. But all it did was make the Creek Road to Arpora really dangerous as conveys of Bangalorian students and Karnatikan cowboys in people carriers used the causeway to the bridge to avoid it.I thought how do they know about this road and then it came to me.The internet of course and Twitter and facebook etc.....what happened to the good old days when you had to go to the Casino in Porvorim to make a call to the UK.

What i found disturbing was the number of girls who have skin lightening treatment. They look grey.At first i thought they must be from Kashmir or from Delhi, but my partner explained what it was. They are running terrible risks from skin cancer and other cancers from indulging in this form of beauty treatment..!
I was woken up at 7 am by 4 drunken Sunburn students trying to knock down coconuts from the tree in the court yard for breakfast. They were completely pissed and off their heads.I wish i could still do it though.Mind you they are still in bed as i write and since they were polishing off Port wine for breakfast too i expect to see some grey faces when they get up for the next session of the Heartburn Festival ....

port for breakfast? disgusting - there are only two alcoholic drinks appropriate for breakfast - guinness and champagne (on their own or mixed together - fresh orange juice with the champagne is also acceptable). Port is for dinner or supper - preferably washed down with plenty of claret. <g?>

P.S. The French, particularly when on holiday. will drink red wine with breakfast - but I don't really approve. The other French breakfast standby 'cafe complete' is however quite acceptable - for medicinal reasons such as hangovers of course <bg>

Last night it was the trance music from "Butter" blasting away till 3.a.m., and only then could I hear "Sunburn" in the distance till 4.a.m..
Since I'm closer to "Butter" that drowns everything else out.
Doesn't the certain Calangute MLA have a finger in both pies?
And the newspapers and garbage-spouting ministers speak piously about 10pm closing, and music to be kept below a certain decibel level. What a load of tosh! The average Goan wouldn't know a decibel if it hit him square in the face.
If there's money to be made, you can be sure the Goans will flaunt the rules to suit themselves.

and trying to catch a few zzzzzzzzzzzz's

We were looking down the beach from the Baga end and you could see The Hearburn Festival in the distance. But you couldnt hear due to the building site noises emanating from the 3 last shacks on the beach.I pity the poor fathers in retreat on Baga Hill.It must be like meditating in a nut house on full moon !The 4 festival goers who are staying with our landlord came back this morning at 5 am pissed as usual and one of their wifes was waiting for them.Poor bastard got a terrible ear bashing from her then it went quiet very suddenly. Later i saw one them leaving and guess what ? He was an Airline Pilot going on duty after being up all night too.PS. The last 4 or 5 shacks on the Baga beach end are built on a public park thats supposed to be used for family outings and pic nics!
The Panchyat in Calingute must the most bent and corrupt Panchyat in India to quietly sell or lease off a public designated area to a load of local gangsters who have just turned the place into a garbage dump takes the top prize. As for the term Decibal most of the locals thinks it has something to with Sorpatel

So you did your duty and reported him to his airline or did nothing as you were not on his onward flight.

What would you do ? If you have ever had a good look at pilots uniforms they dont have the insignia of the airline on them.Just the epaulettes with the golden bars on them.....
