Have you come across these indians aged 20-25. seem from a "upper" class
although not by their behavior. There were 10 of them two cars with MH plates. They were loud, and the mess they left around their tables, fag ends on the floor, bottles of water chucked under the table, such a mess I would have been ashamed to be called an indian. That was in a restaurant and had the same in the shack, so loud and dirty, but money no object. Thought the Russians were bad.

We had some staying in the resort where our apartment is. They were climbing all over our friends jeep one day photographing each other. We had to tell them to get off. Also you can not leave anything beside the pool even if you are there because if they fancy using it they will just help themselves. Our grandsons football and my floating thing, (its not an air bed but you lie on it in the water) both got taken from beside the pool. Our waiter had to tell them to put them back. We had just moved to a table to have lunch when they helped themselves. I do not mind lending things but I object to not being asked.

Our friends went to the shack for lunch, Indians went into the sea and then had the nerve to sit on their sunbeds and wet all their towels. They also threw their beer bottles into the water, which people found broken and could have caused nasty cuts to holiday makers. Later they went to the shack, spent a few hours there, fags every where on the floor - also bottles. Do they behave like this at home. I THINK NOT

Another layer of corruption on the Beach. Police came for their 100 rups each from the girls, jewellers have to go to Calangute Police Station tomorrow and each pay 10,000 rups. Now there is the white Tourist Security jeep patroling the beach taking the wares off the girls and charging them to have them back.
Of course, there is no corruption in Goa with the police, or drugs.

Have noticed it is very quiet in North Goa this season, tourism is down, even the Marriott is extremely quiet, like the Leela etc.

I ve been told by quite a few of the beach sellers on Baga that if they get caught by the police in the jeep, their stuff gets confiscated and they can't even buy it back.
It seems that police from several different areas are coming to the beach, meaning 'multiple fees' for the sellers on some days. If it's police from Calangute, Anjuna or Saligao they pay them 100, if it's the Mapusa or Panjim police, it costs them 200!!!!
But of course, you're right Old Man, there is no curruption in Goa!!!!!!!

I would not recommend anyone to approach these drunken Indian yobs to try and act as 'parents'. These particular groups of youths are often several in number, drunk, loud, yobbish and quite aggressive, so one cannot predict how they may respond. They have no respect for anyone or anything, and their behaviour clearly illustrates that factor.

The fact is that there are quite a number of these groups of young upwardly mobile Indians this season, who throw money around like it's toilet paper and behave like louts. I have seen them in our shack and in some of the restaurents.
