This applies to all flights made on or after Nov 1st 2010 irrespective of when the flight was booked.
As this increase was announced some considerable time ago, surely Jet should have charged this at the time of booking?
Incompetence or a fiddle?
Hanlons Razor again?

But i agree that it should have already been factored into all flight costs flying after Nov 01 irrespective as to when the flight was booked.
I guess its gonna depend on the airline!!!

May sound trivial, but can you imagine that happening in Sainsbury's or such like?

I had an email from JA explaining the new tax and saying that we will have to pay an additional £25 per person on check in in the UK. This applies to all flights made on or after Nov 1st 2010 irrespective of when the flight was booked. Our flights are economy. This is another one of Gordon's fleece the workers and give it to the shysters taxes.

I agree - anytime it happens to me, & it's usually always in Newtons, I just refuse the sweets & wait till the correct change is, as you say, magically found. It's just another of their scams.

When you think about it this way - shops like Newtons and Menezes in Calangute give sweets as change to every foreigner they serve for amounts ranging from 1 rupee to 9 rupees on every transaction. Add up the amount of rupees they have managed to scam in one day, now think about how much they scam in a week and then a month - over the course of a season they have probably managed to scam thousands of pounds by doing this.
In fact, when you consider it this way, it's a lucrative scam - no wonder they don't bother going to the bank to get small change in !!
One thing I have noticed in both Newtons and Menezes is that they ALWAYS manage to find small change for their Indian customers !!! (usually from a tin under the counter...)
It is despicable behaviour, which is why we should all refuse to accept the sweets and demand they give us our change - every one rupee of it !!
Dread - scam scrutiny

Not many BUMS or THONGS on the beach today it`s been hammering it down since 12.30pm. Thunder and lightning thrown is as a bonus. The locals all said it would rain again before Diwali which is friday.

If you celebrate Diwali in the UK on Friday night you can set off fireworks until 1am Saturday however if you celebrate Guy Fawlks night on Friday you can only set off fireworks until midnight. You do not need fireworks if you have thunder and lightning!
