In which case, they shouldn't give a new visa, surely?

surely it would be upsetting enough to have your visa refused.
What is the point of it.

It's absolutely pi**ing it down tonight, since about 4pm. I was due to go to Margao to cheer on India against the aussies on Sunday, but that looks certain to be washed out. Has anybody heard anymore about Mike Richardson - that link to Holiday truths seems to come to an abrupt stop. I know he's not here but just wondered if anyone has more news?
Been very quiet here in Candolim apart from the Russian and Indian tourists. The beggars are starting to arrive so I guess the tourists can't be far behind

A whole load has gone on that Mike Richardson thread today, including a re-iteration by Mr R himself.
Also worth a look, especially if you still smoke;

Of course, due to a couple of tweekers slapping each other with their flannels, the thread has been closed down by one of their Moody-raters, but the one before last post is quite interesting and could have been the start of some useful info for "Puffers".........still, too late now, Big Sister has spoken. Thank God we have people like Mitzy, Noni, and Sue(y?)

It has reached page 6 now and the last post was from Valleylady. Heard it was a little wet at present, sunny and warmer than of late here in Derby...

Has anyone ever flew to Goa with Thomas Cook? I'm just assumed they would be good as they are quite a big company. I've just read the reviews - it's not sounding too good !

Last season Thomas Cook used Monarch flights for their bookings out of Gatwick - I'm not sure whats happening this season. Manchester flights were on Thomas Cook wide bodied larger aircraft such as the Airbus A330 rather than the smaller Monarch 767s.
It's worth booking the 'extra legroom' seats if you can get them but it's not worth paying for the allegedly 'premium economy' seats, AND at all costs avoid the meals - they are 'garbage' masquerading as actual real fit for human consumption food AND they charge you £8.50 each way for the privilige of putting the muck they serve you into your body - better off with a sandwich, sushi & crisps from M&S.
All I really want is a safe, on time flight that's not filled with screaming kids or other passengers with personal hygiene issues anywhere near me. . . . . . . .

IMHO Thomas Cook are fine - when there were delays coming back from Goa last winter due to bad weather delays in the UK, Thomas cook actually appeared to give a sh1t & even though we were 'flight only' they still put us up in a decent hotel & fed us etc - which is far more than can be said for Qatar when there were L O N G delays due to the ash cloud in April/May - Qatar really didn't give a 'flying f**k' about their passengers.

I have heard from a number of normally reliable sources that the Bending Bamboos is opening soon, but they are not serving alcohol this year. Seems the maddest idea to me as the only reputation it has ever had was as a late night boozer. Apparently this is a choice made by Nigel, will let you know when it opens and for how long he can keep up the business suicide mission.

Andy has the new resturant (rumoured to be owned by Newtons)
opposite Sea Shell opened yet, and if so what are the food/prices like there.
