Hemingway, you'll be in trouble! That's a.f.d.'s question that he ALWAYS asks. Did take the precaution of getting new passports though, as ours were full of indian visas only and had just a year to run. So at the end it will have cost us £370 just to keep indian officialdom happy?
- looks like you are only prepared to answer if the question comes from a_f_d though
Good idea on the new passport front - that must've come from reading about the V.A.R. stamps on the passports of frequent travellers as discussed on I.M. - £370 - that's a bargain innit! Can't think of what else I'd do with £370 were it to be sat in my pocket right now

K-C, yes - way way too much information & not just for a Saturday morning! Allowing that thought to enter one's mind could be a cure for a well known male problem that disappoints the fairer sex. . . . . . . . .

What happens to them w**kers? Nothing in the vast majority of cases, that's what! We've had to put up with that 'arch cow' Hazel Blears waving a cheque about for thirteen grand - if she'd not been exposed would she have done that? would she bo**ox!
Thinking about Blear's situation all I can liken it to is me out driving having had a few scoops, I get stopped by the law & they breathalise me - I turn out to be over the limit, so I ask the police if they will let me leave my car there, get a taxi home & come back for my car when I'm below the limit again, AND THEY AGREE TO MY LITTLE PLAN! Like hell they would - but it's just the same as that bi*ch Blears - she's been doing wrong, she's been caught, she's given the dough back & now the cheeky c*w just wants to carry on as before! It should NOT be allowed - she's done wrong, she should pay the price with her job!
The only thing is, the Tories are bloody worse if truth be told - moat cleaning! moat cleaning! moat cleaning - in the words of Victor: I don't believe it!
Right that's it, I'm off for a cuppa tea & a biscuit with my mother!!

Please don't remind of those wonderful boys in blue

I got stopped for speeding( guilty) on Wednesday afternoon And breathalised ! the Btest was negative but got done £60 & 3points,.... meanwhile a couple of miles away a young girl had been gang raped in a park and a gang of "hoodies" terrorised a school playground and took lap tops off the kids.
Yes who put the Grate into Britain ?

J5, - Devilment! Why do you think I seized the opportunity & got in 1st with the question - looks like you are only prepared to answer if the question comes from a_f_d though
The refusal stamp is not V.A.R., its V.A.F, stands for "visa application failed"
I'm maybe being a bit innaccurate on those costs as the passports would have needed replacing during the next couple of years and mine was too full for the planned trip searching for a new home later this year. Also we blagged the maximum transfer of 9 months unexpired so the deal was a bit better!

Hers one straight out of Laurel & Hardy.Coming back into the UK through Gatwick i was at the Passport Desk and they informed that the biometric chip in my new passport wasnt working and that it i should get in touch with Identity & Passport Service and get it changed.I thought,2Hello,HMP.UK are at it again." Rang them up and explained what had happened at Gatwick.I also explained to them the reason why the chip had failed. My partner had kept our passports in her bag next to her mobile phone. The leather case on the phone, bought in Panjiim, had powerful magnets on the flaps and it had wiped her bank cards and her Oyster card too.The I & P Service then said, that it would take 9 weeks to investigate my passport and that i had better cancel any travel in the near future. When i explained to them my partner worked in German television and films and that i travelled with her to her work to keep her company. They said that i could obtain a new passport at their Victoria offices while my old passport was investigated to discover what the fault was.But it would cost me either £90 for the fortnight one or £107 for the immediate one over the counter !The sums would be refunded to me at a later date after the discovery process of 9 weeks, but if it was deemed my fault,i would receive nothing.....My passport is 2 years old. This is the same technology they are going to use in the ID cards too. Now a passport is not your property any way it belongs to the crown. so they were asking me to fork out between £90 to £110 for a defective chip which should have been rugged enough to with stand the magnetic force of a little magnet on a leather mobile phone case for something which isnt even mine !.Also the biometric chips only work in the UK, so going out is not a problem, its only a problem when you submit it at the Passport Control desk. When i explained this to them at I & P Service, they then said it could cause me delays entering the country in the future. I had to laugh then because this shows how far they are from reality. In fact i wondered which planet she had just beamed down from because there are always delays at the passport desk......
When i asked her why does it take 9 weeks for the investigation, she said they had a backlog.....which means they have had lots of other people who have had to send their Passports in because of dodgy biometric chips. This is another scam by Home Office under porno Jaqui Smith.....and i cant get this on expences too unlike her and her brother MPs in the House of Swill in Westminster.......

Coming back through Stanstead from Sardinia earlier this year I was at the end of a long queue for passport control when I was told that with a biometric passport I could go through another lane and just put my passport in a machiine and it worked. Straight through very quickly no bother. Of course I then just waited longer at the other side for my luggage.
On a happier note - tomorrow night "Mumbai Calling" 10. ITV
think I spoke to them for 2 hours sorting my computer to-day

How boring was "Mubai Calling"
Watched it in Goa and did not think much about it.
Back in UK and saw all the hype on This Morning and all the other daytime tv progs so thought the UK one was different to the Indian one.
No - no different and very boring - a load of rubbish.

Turn the TV off & put some music on - that's the best advice where Saturday night TV is concerned!
