Have any of you, using Tata Indicom, had to renew your ID details lately?

Last Saturday I was blocked, because they suddenly required my details. Monday details sent. Today normal service restored.

Friends arrived on thursday morning on the Qatar flight and no extra payments requested!!All flights booked and paid for prior to 1st Nov are not liable for extra departure tax!Hope this puts all your minds at rest! But if you haven`t used your lifetime idea sim in the past 6 months throw it down the toilet! Dont waste the money going to the nearest office! They say new government rules!Must be usd every month! Even that doesn`t work!No way will they give you old no. back! Been recycled!

Warnings of gale force winds and heavy rain were also given in Wales, along with heavy rain and heavy snow in parts of the north west of England. A severe warning of heavy rain was also issued in south west England.

Aren't you glad you are in Goa, or on your way!!

... but check it first - two out of five SIMs worked for me (call time and lifetime pretty much gone though) - FRAUD!

The weather`s maybe warmer in goa but we`ve had a fair bit of rain in the last week and rain is forecast for the next 10 days! This last belt of rain has made this the wettest monsoon since 1961!
I don`t know how Anjuna market is fairing but the paddy fields are still deep with water!
Bring your brollies and wellies if planning a trip to Mapusa market!

I was returning from Dublin yesterday. Fast ferry cancelled as sea too rough. We were put on the slow ferry, a proper ship rather than a sea cat but not until 7 hours later then, we were 'stuck' in the Irish sea for 8 hours as it was too rough for them to berth the ship! hurricane force winds and all the delay and we were offered a sandwich and a cup of coffee!

I'd be surprised if it was free if you were using an Irish Ferry company - The Republic of Ireland's economy is in a worse state than that of the UK.

H.

P.S. - On the brightside, at least you didn't face all that delay as a customer of the R.o.I's worst ever export: Ryanair! If you'd had that sort of delay with them, Michael O'Leary would have charged you for the space you occupied in the airport and for the air that you breathed whilst you were there!

Oh it was free, just not announced over the tannoy so only those brave or foolish enough to go to the food hall found out about it. Believe me, not many people moved from their seats at all unless desperate. It was rough.

I once enjoyed (endured?) a crossing from Ullapool to Stornaway that sounds very similar - the way the boat pitched, tossed & rolled for two and a half of the three hour crossing made me realise the 'mussels in cream, white wine & garlic' that I'd eaten earlier in the pub were not a good idea. . . . . . . . .

I was late book so only applied for my visas on 1st November. I applied via Hayes postal system. I've tried tracking online but it's still saying 'passport not found'. Getting seriously worried as we go on 21st. Does anyone have any experience of postal apps?

When you say Hayes postal system, do you mean that you applied online, paid online before posting your passports etc to Hayes?

If so, you should be able to track it online, if you did not apply online you will not be able to track online.

Oh I see. I downloaded the forms and sent them off with all the documentation and fees. I hope I've done the right thing.

I took advice from the VFS website and posted my application to Hayes.

I'm really worried now

It took us 10 days to receive ours back that was the second time. First time
they returned it because we had filled in the form from the HCI site. I don't think you can trace postal applications, I could not find anyway to do it.

If there is a way perhaps somebody could let us know.

We printed and posted the forms and sent them in a Special Delivery Envelope from the post office. The girl in the PO gave us the sticky serial numbers from the SDEs so although we cant trace the process through VFS, we can trace the envelopes through the PO Website to confirm delivery and when the SDEs are on their way back.

Just checked through the PO Site about an hour ago, They where delivered last Wednesday but not able to confirm status of the return envelope, otherwise they are still with VFS Hayes.
