Think I will have to follow your lead and give up the bread. I've two beer festivals (both are 3 day weekends!) to drink my way through in the next month before I head for Goa. Need to cut something out or my clothes will not fit.

Perhaps I have been lucky because I have only felt truly harassed once and that was by a young girl in Mapusa market who just would not leave me alone, at the finish I went into the supermarket and spent about half an hour looking around. When I went out again she was gone. Every time I'm in Goa I get to the point where if I never see another trader it will be soon enough however a couple of quiet days in and around the apartment and I am ready to face the traders again. My taxi driver accompanies me around the market now and I never have any bother and he carries my shopping.

Hi Peoples,

Does anyone know of anywhere around Baga, Arpora, Calangute area that hire out Mountain Bikes or decent Push Bikes?

We fancy doing a bit of cycling around rural Goa this year......it would be a much better way to experience village life and we are a family of keen cyclists.

If anyone knows of anywhere that hires bikes and if known the rates for same, i would be grateful.

'noffi is Smirnoff vodka - which Remy and I used to drink in a Friday night and post even more rubbish than normal. Of course, in Goa it is the local vodka.

When you come here in Goa all shiny eyed and bushy tailed ready for the holiday of your life, it’s ok to let your hair hang down but do not let all your body parts hang out. It does not only embarrass them it puts their girls in danger when the creepy crawlies who cannot lay their hands on you decide to get their jollies by molesting local girls.

Bras and badly fitting shorts crawling into every crevice and fold of fat, exhibiting angry red wrinkled, freckled skin is enough to put a normal person off their feed for a week.

Do yourself a favour – look at yourself in a full-length mirror before setting off wearing beach wear in the city. When you visit our churches and temples a little decorum to clothing and behaviour is of the essence.

I see where this poster is coming from and agree with most of this post but is it not very alarming that some Indian Men seem to show little or no self control or morals that they have to leer over tourists and molest local girls?.......bloody hell this is barbaric and there is absolutely no excuse for this type of behaviour irrespective to how a woman dresses.
