I lived in 5 different countries on 6-month contracts, then Italy for a couple of years, Slovakia for 8 years, and the US for a dozen. I'm actually reaching that stage where I've been an expat longer than I've lived in my home country.

I'll get to India one day. I have actually stepped foot in there for a couple of hours -- plane refueling on its way to Moscow. But at the moment, Mrs FB and moi are doing South America.

Thank you for your resume of 'expat ness'........... ironically from the way you post on here I had perceived you to have lived in and travelled to far more places in the world than me............but actually you haven;t....you have actually lived in less foreign lands and travelled in far far less............. I am rather surprised and amused by this...

I didn't realize it was a competition.

Anyway, back to your 99% figure. Are you going to revise it?

Not sure what visiting India or not visiting India has to do with the Liberty Organisation cases??

I don't like to ask.....99% of the time. I think that there's some strange belief that you shouldn't comment on anything in the Goa forum unless you've been there on holiday.

But I would like some justification for the 99% figure someone plucked out of their backside. A quick glance through Liberty's press releases shows it's total poppycock.

Iraqi immigrant, 62, 'stole £35,000 in benefits while acting under Islamic law by keeping hidden bank account for his children'

Majid Hussain was paid income support, housing and council tax benefits
At the same time he had £18,000 rising to £36,000 in secret bank account
He said money was left in trust by father for his children's education and he had sworn oath on Koran he would preserve money

I think all those who have sworn oath on the Koran to preserve money for any family member, should be jailed for theft for the UK Government.
In fact all their accounts should be investigated.
