Despite all his waffle I still do not see why we are pouring large sums of money into India when they can afford to help the poorest themselves and are frittering money away on an unnecessary space program

I also thought it was a good article, praising India. Agreed with most of his points.
There seems to be a differing opinion between governments regarding the 'aid' question.

Article in Times of India

http://articles.timesofindia.indiati...-property-nris

I came across this article published last week. This seminar was primarily aimed at NRIs and I understand there was a similar seminar held last year focussing on foreign nationals attended by the accountancy and legal professions.

It is commendable that the RBI are now attempting to clarify the situation for the professions and others, but not much help to those who were badly professionally misadvised in the first instance and for some who received ambiguous or poor quality advice from RBI at the start of these troubles.

There is an old saying 'set a thief to catch a thief' perhaps they are working on that principal.

What the hell is going on here please?

I have long accepted that I am in need of being told the same thing twice, but this is excessive to say the least..............
:eek::eek::eek:

And while I am typing the amazing Globule Moderniser, our beloved Mitzy, has removed the cr@p. Goes to show its not only Captain Kirk who eliminates the Kling-ons.

Did we not have a Sunilgoa (without numeric appendages) who expressed himself excrementally a while back? Was this a resurrection?

18 Again......a vaginal tightening cream is the leading story on the bbc.co.uk site today. May i suggest that considering that India is awash with stories of floods in Rajistan and the North East, and floods of corruption stories pouring out of Delhi like coal dust from a mine. That some kind person travel to Delhi and squirt some of it down the throats of those idiots in The Lok Saba to shut them up and at the same time squirt some of it up the rear entrance of that other well known telly idiot Baba Ramdev as it may improve his breathing techniques too.

The usual advertising ploy! A cream?? It's not going to really work whether you squirt it up or down.

What is going to happen with 'Coalgate', if PM refuses to talk personally to opposition? Although there were signs that he is functioning, I thought he was being worked by 'strings'(real ones).

Not very much as Dr.Singh is not actually guilty of anything. The process of allocating coal leases without competitive bidding was actually started under the the umbrella of the saffron lot (BJD and the Communists in West Bengal) in 1993.The BJP just want to paralyse the parliamentary process and give the country the impression that the governing central coalition are inept and corrupt, which in actual fact they are......In simplistic terms the BJP are just jealous because they cannot get their grubby hands on the national exchequer before its too late to fill their pockets in case Lokpal becomes a reality. As for that Baba(Deep Breaths) Ramdal well to really appreciate the man in the fullest extent of his mission, you would have to under go a complete lobotomy to get the full benefits. He is just a BJP goon.

Not so much a case of guilt but what does he independently do at all?
There has certainly been plenty of time for Congress to change the allocating systems.
I do not particularly support BJP (they have the problem of RSS on their shoulders), but unless the Congress party can separate from the Gandhi family who only seem to think of their own power not the good of the people, what hope is there.
Agree about Baba Ramdev; bit of a 'Senator Akin' in much that he says!!!

My biggest nightmare though is the 2014 elections. Modi ! The BJP and the RSS are really parties of the past and your completely right about the Gandhi`s and wanting to cling to power. The funniest bit about Sonia though is the fact the BJP cannot keep calling her a foreigner when Advani is around because he was born in Karachi Pakistan. But then again the RSS do not recognise Pakistan anyway......My prediction for the future of Indian political life is that new parties will appear soon from the cities and not products of the old vote bank system and rent a mob.Young India isnt ignorant because they now have all the information at their fingertips via their smart phones and satellite TV. The main political parties dont understand that the media is far more intelligent than they are.Their arrogance will be their failing point.

Rather like Congress' recent experience in Goa, but will they learn?

Agree, and the name 'Gandhi' still has enormous influence, Congress use this to their own advantage to get votes. They also have far more money to spend at elections than other parties.

Re: In To-day's Newspapers

My old college has just been given the Order of the Boot by the government for issuing visas to students and then not bothering to supervise them. London Metropolitan University or as it was when i was there.North London Poly. This is the same place that wanted to ban alcohol in the Students Union in case it upset the Muslim minority. It was also fined £30 million last year for failing to notify the authorities when foreign students disappeared from classes. It was also a hotbed of Islamic fundamentalism and recruitment of young African and Afro-Caribbean first year students.Hope they sack the whole board and clean up the mess.As for the Islamic recruiters they will just creep back into their fortress in Finsbury Park, just around the corner from the mosque, where part of the 9-11 mob plotted the attack.6 months ago a blind Mullah who preached in the mosque was strangled to death in his office because he was thought too moderate. You need a licence to drive a car so why not licences to preach in a church or a mosque. 2000 students mostly from India and Bangladesh now face deportation.Expect a backlash from the Indian press accusing the UK of racism etc....PS. Most of them were working in fast chicken joints or Indian take-aways.
