Anyway, I go looking for my first car. we pass a windmill.

We go to look at another car, and the road where the bloke lives is Windmill Lane.

We go to look at another car, and theres a windmill there.

The final place where we actually bought our car I kid you not, we passed another windmill, tis time the new electricity generating ones.

Cue Twilight music!

Now don't tell me you ended up buying a kite ?

To be honest, I think you'd get funny looks on a 'normal' dutch bike here. It's only mountain bikes and bmx's(kids and teenagers).
And, you'd probably need more than 3 gears.
Right, now I'm not sure...I think (hope) that the 3 gears on my bike would be enough to get me up a slope/hill...can't really imagine need a lower gear than i've got now from what I've seen in Perth...but obviously I haven't seen that much yet.
And the funny looks, hehe, nothing unusual. But you're right they don't have dutch bikes there. On the other hand, that makes it kinda cool to bring it...

LOL very true. I have a "dutch style" bike that we brought over (3 gears of which one doesnt work and wine basket on the front ) and get some double takes, but I dont care - I love my bike and cos 1st gear isnt working I get great exercise cycling up hills in 2nd !!!!!
