How has your day been?

Re: How has your day been?
Off to church for carols by candle light with DD. So very tired that I've put face cream on my toothbrush instead of toothpaste.
Also in support tights as my legs are swollen and aching, and my shoes are so tight that they are painful. But DD wants to go.....

Watching carols by candlelight on TV, Hubby is working but is on his way home now. This is our first xmas in the new house - our neighbour came round today with presents for my pets tonight which was very nice of her.
Tomorrow I am on my own till 4.30pm and then when Mr Cheetah comes home, we shall have our turkey dinner - with sprouts for me as I love them.
Tomorrow we are going to enjoy a nice xmas video chat with my sisters and my Dad and my friends in the UK - we always do that and I look forward to it.
I like Christmas here, it is less stressful and easier to do - I still miss my family and it's hard as it is the anniversary of losing my Mum but I am just enjoying watching the Christmas stuff on TV and keeping it basic.
Merry Christmas everyone.

Re: How has your day been?
Pretty quiet for a Chriistmas day being as though we're down in Sydney on holiday No presents as such to unwrap as we decided to treat ourselves instead to a long weekend in Auckland for the NRL 9's in February pissing down with rain to boot so that scuppered today's planned walk from Coogee to Bondi ,no pubs open to dodge the dodgy weather and Paddy's Market is even bloody closed be jeez, anyone would think its Christmas Day ! Still got the Christmas Dinner Cruise to look forward to tonight so that could be lively given that it includes a drink package .
Hopefully tomorrow should be full more on as it's my Birthday and maybe there maybe 1 or 2 wee prezzies to open . After that we're off to Randwick races ( subject to weather ) and then on to Moore Park for the Sydney v Brisbane Roar footy game

OH still sick and still watching his rugby DVDs. (Welsh grand slams from 2005 and 2008) How many old repeats and match analysis can one Welshman watch?
I suppose it was my fault for having got them for him, but he did ask for them as part of his Xmas present.....

Worried about MIL- she has had a gastroscopy, and phoned us to tell us that they wanted her back for more tests as they weren't happy. They wanted her in before Xmas, (the day after she got her results) but she refused as she didn't want to be kept in, so will go in on Friday. She is 80 and not generally in very good health.
We can't afford to go back so soon after leaving.
