Actually I like accents and I like to hear all the various pronunciations - both British and American - of various words. |

My pet hates are ... "He be" "You be" and "It's up in my room" instead of "It's in my room"! My family also didn't have a clue about the word 'whilst'! Last night I heard someone on the TV say 'respite', but they pronounced it 're-spit' ... huh? Now I'm wondering whether they don't use the 'e' when spelling that word .... and I hate the way they pronounce 'route' too!! |
