Oh he couldn't have been local, everyone knows it's Baaaaff ;)

The number thing annoys me too, why do they say twenty-five hundred instead of two and half thousand? I don't get it.

The really annoying phrases that grate with me are:
too fun (WTF?)
too cute (puke).

The same goes for 'treble' if you say, " 802 treble 3 2572 " they think you're talking in some kind of medieval English last used when Shakespeare was alive.
Same goes for "whilst"

A yank friend of mine told me I was too funny once. I had no idea what the frig she was talking about but I thought it sounded like a stupid thing to say.

[QUOTE=Sugarmooma]where you at?"

I just tell them "somewhere between the "a" and the "t" - which is probably just as annoying! :D

Pronounciation ???
How about:
Craig = Creg
Caribbean = car-ribean
Guyana = Gwee-ana
Aaron = Erin

Well to be picky, twice a month = 24 times a year; fortnightly = 26 times a year.

:p

Paychecks work well; if you get paid every other week, that's fortnightly.

The latter involves division and is hard mental work.

I had to draw the line somewhere, and besides aluminium is understandable as its actually mis-spelt, not mis-pronounced.

Oh, and could someone please explain to me the word "frickin" - is it meant to be a polite word for "f***in" or is it a yank version of friggin ???
