Please don't take me wrong - I'm by no means saying everyone falls into any category. Although I've attended some, I don't even have a college degree myself, nor do my two best friends. I'm truly afraid you have gotten the wrong impression, I hope not, it was never at all my intention to offend anyone.

Just that the culture here seems to be different than the UK as regards class division, and I'm wondering what is different between the countries to cause this. How people in general might have different perceptions.

Because high living expenses where he is. They don't pay tuition, but there are a lot of associated expenses with his type of degree. And a few other reasons, sorry can't really say, no offense.

lol Keith always gets me in trouble. He says it isn't common - 5 years for a masters. I personally have no clue at this point.

Just wondering based upon what people are saying, both Keith and on here. Like Haggarwood saying no class divisions in the local pub.

I'm not saying I know, just the impression I'm getting.

Exactly...you are basing your arguments on hearsay and your interpretation of it.

I'm sorry, I'm not intending any arguments. I was seriously wondering about people's perceptions and such - I have no real opinion, I honestly don't know.

Apparently I can't communicate what I mean properly in this case, sometimes it is so hard to do so in writing. It seems that people are thinking the opposite of what I mean, for which I am sorry.

For the record - I think the class divisions here are unfortunate.

I'm bowing out of this now...I like you Tracy but find your basis for debates usually somewhat flimsy.

I like you too. What I can't seem to make clear, to my sadness - I didn't mean this as a debate. I don't have an opinion. I don't know.

I was wondering what opinions others had.

Never meant to upset anyone, I'm sorry I asked, truly.
